Vernal Airport used to offer convenient and efficient service to Denver, Colorado, making it a reliable option back in the day. Now, it only operates flights to Phoenix, Arizona. Unfortunately, their service has taken a turn for the worse. My son was forced to endure a six-hour delay, only to be informed that the flight was canceled altogether. As if having to travel to Phoenix instead of Denver wasn’t inconvenient enough, they added hours of unnecessary waiting before canceling the flight. Honestly, it's better to skip Vernal Airport and just fly out of Salt Lake City instead.

Flying from Houston to Phoenix to get to Vernal wasn’t very convenient, and I think next time I’ll fly direct to Salt Lake City and drive over. However, upon arrival, it was smooth and easy and the people were very friendly. It’s been a long time since I’ve been to Vernal and the town has grown.

The staff is very personable/polite (not something I thought I would ever say about airport staff). Since we flew in from Denver a few days prior, we knew we didn’t need very much time to check in before our flight. It is the smallest airport I’ve personally been through. I only saw about 8 employees. The front desk joked with us and tried to guess which guests we were on the flight. They printed out our boarding passes without being asked. Very friendly. The TSA line was friendly to me. I was chosen for a random security check. Phone tested. Easy peasy. Bag checked. Dinosaur bone raised some questions on the scan which was fair 😅 the only people who had issues were people who created them themselves but the staff handled it very well. All said and done from door to waiting to board it was 10 minutes.

We were delayed by 5 hours due to weather in Denver. Everyone that works there did everything possible to get us new connecting flights. We ended staying in Denver for the night and catching a flight the next day. The ladies working the counter really helped with all arrangements. Thank you so much for everything you did to help keep our great. Can’t say enough good about the staff at the airport

I was happy to learn that a commercial flight came to and left from Vernal Regional Airport as my aunt lives just around the corner, literally. I had always driven from SLC until now, but found that this is less expensive. It would be great if the flights left and arrived late at night so I coukd spend more time with my aunt before heading home. But other than that, it's great!
