Preet Palace is truly a hidden gem in the DMV area! Having recently moved to Virginia, I struggled to find decent Indian food without having to go all the way to DC. My brother introduced me to this place, and it was an absolute delight.

We opted for takeout, and while the interiors are simple and unpretentious, the food more than makes up for it. Everything we ordered—Goat Curry, Dal, Paneer Kadhai, and Vegetarian Bhaji—was absolutely delicious, bursting with authentic flavors. Even the rice, with its long grains and perfect texture, stood out.

This small mom-and-pop restaurant serves food that transported me straight to Punjab, India. If you’re craving real, flavorful Indian cuisine, look no further. Highly recommend Preet Palace—you won’t be disappointed!

It’s kinda hidden in the shopping complex but worth finding!!!! Everything was 5 star, my only tiff with atmosphere would be it’s kinda low lighting. However the food, service and cleanliness of the restaurant was great!!!! We sought this place out as it had a 3.8 star but yet was voted as a BEST OF just a year ago. It did not disappoint at all!!!! They host a lunch Buffett on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Monday through Thursday they offer platters, Vegetarian or with Meat. With tip you are looking at around $17-$20 per person. They served a nice little dessert with the meal. Flavors were GREAT in all the food that we were served!!!!

So glad we came here. Lovely variety of southern and northern Indian delights. Staff are very friendly. The desserts are very yummy. My 6 year old enjoyed his lunch very much. $19 for an extra good weekend buffet. We'll definitely be coming back.

This place deserves much higher ratings! The gentleman who served us was kind and helpful in making our selections and saved me from ordering too spicy. The Samosa Chat appetizer had a good presentation, the spices and slighty sweet savory flavor was delicious. The chick peas were cooked just right, not too hard or soft. The rice that came with our entrees was so good alone I didnt want to mix it with my curry. It had whole cloves and other whole spices/seasoning, a buttery flavor, and light and fluffy texture. We had the Aloo Paratha, you could actually taste the whole wheat bread flavor with a hint of toastiness. We also ordered Punjabi Kadi (veggie fritters in yogurt curry), Chicken Korma, Mango Lassi and Chai. It was all good.

This review is for the lunch buffet. Excellent price. It was less than $13 including tax. It might have even been less than $12 including tax, but I don't remember.
The food tasted good. I liked the butter chicken and naan. I also liked how the tandoori chicken was deboned.
I went with my friend at around 12:45. The food was warm. They didn't run out of food in the trays. I will say it took maybe 4 minutes or so for them to bring us a new basket of naan. But 4 minutes isn't that long.
I noted some bad reviews about service. I acknowledge that they were always not smiling. But oh well, you give me good food at nice prices and I can forgive that.

Update: I went again on a Friday lunch. The selection was very limited. There were two chicken dishes: butter chicken and tandoori. The butter chicken had many stretchy dark meat pieces, which disappointed me. It's $11.65 including tax. The vegetables and samosas are still good. I'd give that 3 stars, so to average out my last experience, I'll go with 4 stars.

food here was delicious but sadly let down by service they lack basic restaurant service etiquette.. staff along with their owner are really rude there’s one young waitress she lacks common sense she totally ruined our moment ...it felt like they’re doing injustice to kitchen because the taste of food ultimately diminishes if you can’t enjoy it properly
Won’t visit here again .. probably won’t recommend it to anyone else but if you can ignore their rubbish attitude then you can pay a visit

10/25/2023- 6:30pm I ordered aloo tikki, fish pakora & goat curry. I got the aloo tikki which was over fried and tasted bland first, than the fish pakora which again tasted bland, but I was surprised by seeing a roach 🪳 in my food, in plain site under the onions. I immediately asked for the goat to be packed for take away, and asked for the bill. I still tipped, the goat I just gave away. Awful place, horrible food and disgusting ambience, health department should take a look at this place

That girl waitress was very rude and arrogant. Very bad experience with that girl. I understand she is young but she is in restuarant business. I was coming every weekend but now i Won't come back.
