I used to like going to Ace to get those one-off fasteners you need. But lately when you go there you basically aren't permitted to peruse the fastener aisle without assistance. Fine, people may pocket stuff. I get it. But the older guy that runs the fastener aisle is not pleasant. Argues with you over the fasteners you need, has no patience at all, and has a lousy tone. As I was at the register paying, I heard him from all the way in the back running his mouth about me specifically. You should wait until a customer leaves before bad mouthing them. Very unprofessional. Shame because this Ace is conveniently close to me.

HIGHLY Recommended NOT buying paint from any ACE hardware store!!!! Went to ACE on Seminole Blvd in Largo for a gallon of Interior White Satin paint. Since I know nothing about paint, the employee helped me with what I needed- so I thought. That night I ran out. Since this location is closed on Sundays I had no choice than to go to another location. Went to the Ace on East Bay, showed the employee the picture of the paint can I needed. The employee got the paint, shook it etc… Now, as I’m almost done painting the room, I’m noticing that the whites are a completely different color. Look at the cans and one is Ultra White Tint Base and the other is High Hiding White. (According to Home Dept, I should’ve never been given Ultra White Tint Base paint unless it was being mixed)
Just left ACE and they won’t give me my money back OR replace the two cans by giving me the SAME color whites. I brought both empty cans AND both receipts in with me. They said there was nothing they could do for me. I am so unbelievably upset that I have spent almost $80 just on the paint, and now have to go purchase more paint and do it ALL over again. Waste of Time AND money. Do NOTpurchase your paint from ACE hardware. This is so disappointing

I'd give them 10 stars if I could! The whole staff is very friendly and helpful. They're all very knowledgeable on many different types of tasks. Huge bonus is they have Chuckles candy up front! Definitely will be going there before Lowe's or Home depot in the future .

Helpful hands there got right to the pieces that I needed for my plumbing repair. unfortunately I took a star off because the guy that was helping me insisted on their only being one cap that I needed. I knew there was more than that but it was the wrong cap after all. Oh well everything else worked out good price is good.
