I Came Here Needing A Window Repaired. I Walked In Talk To The Lady Behind The Register She's Pointed Me To The Back Of The Store. So I Headed To The Back Of The Store And Was Looking For The Window Repair Area To My Surprise Nobody In Site. So I Continue To Wait And Nobody Came 20 Mins In Holding The Window In My Hand The Stocking Shelves Person. Came I Ask Her Where The Window Person At She's Stated That The Manger Was Doing Inventory So He Could Do The Repair And The Other Person Was Mixing Paint. She's Said That They Where Behind On Repairs And If I Wanted To Wait It Would Be A Months Wait Until I Can Get My Window Back Wow 😳.

I went to the Olson Ace Hardware on Chicago Ave in Oak Park. I got the friendliest hello upon entering. Also, 2 associates helped me find the product that I was looking for, listened while I explained why I needed it, and gave helpful advice about it. A very pleasant experience all-around!

The type of small, local hardware store that you want to shop at. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and unless your project is at a super large scale, this location is likely to have what you need. I'm glad to have a local store like this in our area.

The online inventory regarding in-store availability is never accurate. There have been several instances were I’ve ordered product online that states it is available in-store (ready within 15min), only later to find out that is actually not in stock and requires shipping. Additionally, the customer service is far from helpful.

My cousin and I stopped in there to buy some cleaning supplies. We were about to head to my brother's house to clean out his apartment from his passing. The cashier was an older lady. She was wonderful. She was so nice. So friendly. We had a kind of a nice long conversation. There weren't any other people in the store. Her customer service was just outstanding. I grew up in Oak Park. I don't live in that area anymore. But if I ever have to go to another Ace hardware in that area I would definitely come back there again, I found exactly what I needed and the customer service was excellent
