Amanda's shuttle service is fairly priced, convenient, and professional. Even as just a shuttle, her company provides the best value to get between trailheads in the Uintas. However, she and her drivers go above and beyond to ensure that hikers have all the information needed to have a successful trip. Days before the hike, she shared updated information about the weather for the week I was hiking, and very recent intel on a water source that cut the initial water carry in half. Amanda and her staff are hikers and backpackers themselves and clearly care about making a hiker-oriented service. I would gladly use their shuttle again if I planned another backpacking trip in the area.

I don’t know if I can adequately express just how great Amanda and her shuttle service are. As my friend and I prepared to hike the Uinta Highline Trail from Leidy Peak to Hayden Pass, we reached out to Amanda for information to help us plan, and to book her services for a shuttle back to our car at the end of our hike. She was prompt, helpful, informative, and went out of her way to assist us in planning our trip, including helping us prepare for unpredictable regional weather. Once we were on our hike and began to get ahead-of-schedule by hiking higher-mileage days to get ahead of bad weather, I contacted her via my Garmin inReach to see if we could move our shuttle pickup a day earlier, and she responded quickly with “absolutely!” On top of all that, when we reached the western terminus after several days in the rain and even snow on our final night, she arrived early and was awaiting us at the trailhead with hot breakfast sandwiches and coffee! The ride back to Leidy passed quickly as she told us stories about the area, pointed out landmarks, and answered all of our questions about the area, the trail, and even the region’s livestock!

Seriously: I can’t recommend Amanda’s service highly enough. At this point, I would consider her an indispensable part of any long hike in the Uintas!

We were planning a thru-hike of the Uinta Highline Trail and came across Amanda's website to help with shuttling logistics. We had an amazing experience with her and would highly recommend her service for the trail.

Due to a road closure and a lack of cell reception, we arrived almost 2 hours after our planned time with no way of letting her know beforehand. Fortunately, she was waiting at the trailhead and was very understanding. During the ride, she was friendly and gave us good advice about the conditions of the hike. She offered to stop and pick up supplies we had forgotten and some lunch before we set off. She greatly improved an otherwise stressful planning experience.

I loved my experience with Mountain Trails Transport. Amanda was super friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. Even prior to my thru-hike of the UHT she helped point me in the direction of resources for trail conditions and other things to help me research the trail. She arrived early when it came time to pick me up and her vehicle was very clean! She was an excellent driver and just a kind person 🙂 Very grateful for her and her services!

Our son used this service recently and I can only repeat all of the favorable reviews posted here already. Our son had little battery power near the end of his week-long hike and we were concerned that were he delayed he might miss the shuttle service. Working with Amanda to figure out our shuttle on short notice was very easy. Plans changed three weeks before our planned hike in another area, but Amanda was patient and collaborative as we dialed in our plan. Our shuttle was at the end of our hike and remained flexible as we figured out exactly when we would finish. Best of all we finished a little early and Amanda was ready and waiting! We were ready to get straight back to the car, but there was ample opportunity and offer to stop for food, snacks, or drinks along the way. The ride felt quick and the car was clean and comfortable. If I make another trip Amanda will be my first call for a shuttle or resupply. I can’t recommend Mountain Trails Transport enough!

The drivers are safe, professional, and are some of the kindest people you will ever meet. Communicating and planning is easy and I find their rates, given the very long drive, to be reasonable.
