A little pricey, but worth the break, leg stretching or eating a quick meal along with mileage saved. They usually have 3 ferries going, so if you just miss one, it's only about 15 minutes for the next. Great views too, plus different weather and times of year make it even more interesting. I wish they would bring back the 2-way boarding pass that saved a few dollars. Crews are very friendly.

Really easy way to get from VT to NY. They run year round & very often. Quick trip (15 min) can accommodate large vehicles and beautiful scenery as well. You can stay in your car or get out & have a look about.

Since I moved recently to Plattsburgh, it's been an enjoyable moment to take the ferry to Vermont. Staff is always friendly, well organized, and mostly on time. My remark similar to many others is in regards to cost, it could be more budgetary friendly since many people need to use multiple times a week or even on the same day. Overall, it is a great service.

Well run ferry with relatively short lines, convenient hours of operation, and staff that move cars quickly and safely. Was able to get a great shot of the sunrise. There is also a lookout area at the top of the ferry. The journey across the lake only takes 10-20 minutes and was a lot of fun!

I love taking the ferry anytime of year and this one is open all the time. I've even taken it at close to midnight. It might not always be faster but it's the perfect length of time for a good power nap.
