Dickey’s BBQ Pit was a bit of a mixed experience. The service was great, and the brisket was super juicy and flavorful, but the rest of the meal was hit or miss.

The chicken was dry, the pulled pork was just okay, and the mac and cheese wasn’t good at all. The fries needed more time in the fryer, and to top it off, the soda machine had no ice, and the drinks were flat.

Overall, not the best BBQ we’ve had, but the brisket and friendly service were the highlights.

Food wasn’t good . I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and spicy BBQ on the sandwich, it was dry and the bbq sauce was not saturating in the pork, they just squirted the sauce on the bread. I also found a piece of plastic in my sandwich. The pork looked like poor quality, I took most of it off of my sandwich. Macaroni and cheese is not your typical BBQ place Mac n cheese- very liquidity. I will not be returning . The lady over the speaker in the drive thru was friendly .

I have ordered from Dickie’s St Pete’s several times. As an event planner I am pleased to state that they deliver a professional and courteous service. The food is of high quality and more importantly tastes delicious! They are flexible and work with me on a business level, and I appreciate their services and their staff and management.

My dad and I are always looking for new BBQ places to try and somehow completely missed this place on our list until last week. At first glance this would look like a chain restaurant and we typically aren’t impressed by those but HOLY SMOKER! These guys are LEGIT!! The brisket is amazing! The pulled pork is really great and the fried okra is everything you would expect from an authentic southern food establishment. We are definitely going back!

We did love this place, but the prices are up, and the quality seems to be down. They stopped having the spicy bean and the loaded mashed seamed old. We came from work, and the 6 of us guys were hungry. The food was Luke warm.

Okay, so I love this location and the people who work there. They’re extremely friendly, quick, efficient, able to help you decide on the meal(s) you want and is just an all around great choice for a BBQ craving or “not sure what I want for dinner” craving.

The food was quite good, the service was beyond fantastic. My family ate supper here on a Sunday evening when the restaurant was not very crowded. The staff put on Disney Plus for the kids and did their darnedest to make sure we were taken care of. So glad we stopped by!

Very disappointed! This was my go to spot for bbq.. use to be consistently good food and very clean restaurant. Ever since it has a new owner it has changed for the worst..
The quality of meat is definitely noticeable, flavor is inconsistent, the bbq sauce is not the same as it was, smoked wings get reheated in the deep fryer, fries have no crisp to them and saturated in oil, Texas toast was more like buttered bread...
The first time I went there after new ownership I thought maybe a fluke should be back to normal... tried it a second & last time.... never again!
