Shipt really screwed me over big time. I ordered a large suitcase from Target to be delivered between 9 and 10 PM. I ordered it at 7 PM. At 7:45 PM I got a notice that a delivery person had been selected. They then let me know at 9:15 PM that they couldn’t deliver it until the next morning between 9 and 10 AM. My flight leaves tomorrow at 6 AM and I don’t have a suitcase. I also now don’t have time to go to Target or anywhere else to get it myself. They let me know 20 minutes before target closes That they decided not to deliver my suitcase tonight.
I was counting on them. I called the customer service and they said that the driver had “an emergency” and that they didn’t have any way to possibly ask another driver to fill-in. I think that is BS. I also Think the customer service is absolutely horrendous. Do not, not come not count on them! I will be telling Target about this as well, so hopefully they will find a different delivery partner.

I received an ETA from their texting service telling me my order would be delivered in 32 minutes today. That notice was issued at 5:32 PM so I waited… And I waited… And waited until about 7:30 PM. And then I left the office. About 30 minutes later I got notice that because they couldn’t deliver, they were returning it to the store. So I thought I would say five dollars by buying it from a commercial vendor but if I paid that five dollars I would’ve received it today from that company that sounds like a massive jungle. To that retail store that uses this company, I won’t buy from you again because the delivery times are deceitful and when I need product, I probably needed it today. I’ll just go ahead and order it from that bigger vendor.

Just going to state first off I know it's my fault, but did get deactivated today. This was my first gig job too.
My first ever 1 star, yes was due to being late and I knew because it was almost immediate, but I communicated to the customer and let them know I'll be late due to a fair amount of items being bundled with another order that had heavy items climbing a flight of stairs that I was on time for.
This was from Alameda Target to first drop in Oakland being 10 minutes away roughly 20 items roughly and then to SF which was 20 minutes from the first 10 items at most.
I was at least 20 minutes before delivery window at the store and shopping fairly quick. Maybe it's my fault, but I always try to substitute items for them that are closely related if possible by asking them and waiting, which might've been my downfall later on to deactivation.
Paired with some items out of stock, trying to have these orders together in one cart, to then traffic to both locations; get nailed to a 1 star rating.
I just find it real difficult to fit some of these orders within a 1 hour window when some bundles end up being from 1 city to another. I had mainly target orders, from Pleasant Hill and Walnut Creek, which had employees not being there fully in staff or just not caring. A lot of my late orders were due to having to wait for them to open doors. I would have to run to find someone who would have to run themselves to get a key for me, cause well I waited a couple times almost 15-20 minutes at times which eat into delivery window heavy. Probably what was the nail in the coffin was my last delivery which I arrived 30-45 minutes early to the store, which had 66 items I did with two others being small and easy. I substituted some of her items and communicated, but was late. Which likely resulted in a 1 star.
Just real disappointed really when I wanted hussle for my new first born and wifey cause we need money. I'm based in Pittsburg, and I would do orders from Oakland to Brentwood, Brentwood to Berkeley, accepting reasonable orders I can make it to. I made good tip with my first 50 or so orders, got a customer an item off list with my money cause I finished so fast and he tipped me well, I helped a customer bring items in for them and got tipped good even with other orders, and even got tipped for being LATE for mostly all. I feel real gutted with their strict on time rule, if they added 30 minutes extra I would be on time for all of it.
I wish the other gigs like IC and DD accepted me already off their wait lists since they seem way more lenient since some at my current job just sit there sometimes just talking to other dashers when food is in hand. I feel bad too cause I did get at least 10 preferred customers.
I would gladly work at it again with Shipt if they reactivate me, but boy I felt way more gutted when they deactivated me in the middle of going to an order where I just arrived at store today...

Very rude and erratic company. They hang up block calls for no reasons, deactivate and have no value for their shoppers who are just there to make a few dollars. They make enemies of friends.

Although I have an account and I’m activated on my end, they have deactivated me on their end and have said over and over and over that they would send me a reactivation email. They all read from a script. They all promise things they can’t fulfill. It’s too too bad because I’m a good worker.

As a Shipt shopper this company is a SCAM I found out in more ways than one. Today was revealing so I will no longer be shopping for this company. I referred shoppers and was supposed to get a bonus NEVER did! Also, when it comes to addressing any issues or concerns outside of delivering the order they just send shoppers to an email. An email that sends auto populated responses. The chat help is a joke with someone behind the screen who can't even spell the simplest words correct. When you call to speak to a live rep they literally are a waste.
They are limited to what they can assist which is pretty much nothing and will just redirect you to another email. Here's a big kicker when you call before transferring to a rep it ask to participate in survey for feedback after the call. Well, that's non-existent ALL the reps had not a clue when I asked to participate in the survey, yet they are advertising it within the call.Each attempt literally hangs up the call.
I've had several payment discrepancies one in particular I completed 23 orders and only had guaranteed pay of $8 bucks but completed 8 orders and had guaranteed pay of $163. I still never got that pay corrected and when you ask for a full break down of your pay they give the run around with excuses. I highly suggest a different delivery company since they are SCAMMING shoppers out of their pay. You will go to live chat they tell you to call or email then when you call they say email.
This company needs improvement majorly. In addition to they don't have a referral codes you have to provide your member number to your referrals which clearly doesn't work. I can see a lawsuit in their near future. Ftr they have no way of checking their shoppers so you might get a shopper testing positive but delivering you items. There's no real security or enforcement they only care about the orders being delivered.

I left Shipt today unfortunately, they waited until I got all the way to the store to drop my order after a 39 minute drive and spending $20 on gas. They refused to pay me when I texted, called and emailed them. The rating system is not really that good either, they stop giving you deliveries and keep saying so sorry for the inconvenience. It seems like once I got to a certain level past 13 orders they decided to start calling me while I was driving to the stores to ask for an ETA. After a year that's never happened. Lots of miles and underpaid.
