I want to report an unacceptable experience my family and I had with an employee named Connie. From the moment we interacted with her, she was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. When we politely asked for help finding a product, she told us to move because she was helping a customer—despite that customer already being assisted by someone else.

Trying not to make a scene, we moved on and grabbed the items we came for, including some fishing supplies that were clearly marked on sale (2 for $8). At checkout, Connie rang them up at full price. When we asked about the discrepancy, she snapped at us saying, "You're gonna need to go back and take a picture. I can't page anybody to check." This seemed completely unnecessary since another employee was able to confirm the price via the intercom shortly after.

What really crossed the line was her attitude. When we called her out for being unprofessional, she played victim and even tried to shoo us out of the store. She made it seem like we were the problem—when in fact, we were only reacting to how she treated us.

She also mentioned being short-staffed, but that’s no excuse for treating customers poorly. To be completely honest, I couldn’t help but feel we were being treated differently due to our race. It was deeply uncomfortable and disheartening.

Thankfully, another employee (whose name I didn’t catch) did apologize for her behavior, which we appreciated. But this kind of treatment is unacceptable and needs to be addressed.

Brady, an employee at the Farr West, Utah location, took apart my gun even though he explicitly said he can’t do that. I didn’t ask for him to pick my gun apart. I asked him if he could give me a run down on how to clean it. Now I’m just hoping he can put it back together. I asked him what my options are if he can’t get it back together and he basically said you’d be out of a gun because ā€˜all sales are final’, which is understandable, but again, he explicitly said he can’t operate on it but he did anyway.

I went in to buy a rifle. Not shopping, knew what I wanted. There was no one at the counter so I looked over the inventory and found the rifle I intended to buy. I looked for a call button but didn’t see one. Waited 10 minutes and no one came to the counter. I planned to spend over $1200 on the rifle, ammo, and accessories. I went looking for an employee and found one near the dog food. Asked him for help and was told that everyone was in a meeting and he didn’t know how long they’d be. He just shrugged and walked off. Seems like a reason to interrupt a meeting, but I guess it’s not. I could have walked into Petsmart and asked to buy a rifle and gotten better customer service. I’ll just spend my money at Smith and Edwards I guess.

Absolutely horrible SLOW WORKERS!! It took us two hours to check out with no one in the store. That's disgusting to have checkers that have no respect for people's time. EMPLOY WORKERS THAT CAN DO THEIR JOB. It was a joke today and I felt super disrespected. DO BETTER!! DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE COMING AGAIN. IT WAS LIKE AN ALTERNATE REALITY THAT DIDNT EVEN FEEL REAL. This place is a joke. Go somewhere else that cares and doesn't waste your whole day.

Order a tube of Stihl grease online at 8:30am by 5 p.m. I had called the store several times with no answer. When I asked about the online order, the woman at checkout was rude. Spend your money at a local equipment dealer.

Tried coming to fill our propain tank as we live in a trailer and thats how we heat our living spaces. We didn't realize we were out almost until closing. Got there 17mins before closing had to walk around to even find help. Once we found someone we asked and expressed to them it was a bit of an emergency and if they could fill our propane and both employees looked at each other, beat around the bush and acted as if they could, but just didn't want to and then told us they were getting ready to close. Even though they were all just standing around talking...There was still 14mins till closing and we were still able to drive back home get a smaller tank and swap it at maverick all before you guys actually closed... Absolutly ridiculous in my opinion. I guess the customer doesn't come first anymore, to each their own I guess..

I mean dang B...I just asked for a bathroom! Asked the folks at the register for a bathroom. One of the ladies at customer service turned and looked in the direction and said...um cowboys and cowgirls in an obviously right there voice, then turned back around as if I was being rude. Unfortunately, their signage doesn't make it instantly apparent as it looks like the rest of the decor for sale. Regardless, your job is customer service. Someone needs more training on what that means. I'm still here debating whether to buy my birds here or not....***UPDATE*** after walking around several departments and not being able to find anyone or being ask if I needed help and being generally ignored and avoided. I've decided to go to the Layton location where I'm treated like a customer. If that many people are there and I can't get a bit of customer service...ya'll have a bigger issue.
