BE ON TIME!!It took us forever to realize that the appts are so tight because they want you to be late, so you are at their will & they do not have to pay retention time. If you are late, you will sit for hours, if not days, if you miss your appt time, even by minutes. We are from Pa & hubs took a load to this DFA in Tx right after Christmas. He picked the load up in central NY & hauled butt to Winnsboro, Tx in about a lil under 2 days (good ol agricultural-run it until you drop) & made it there with a couple hours to spare. When he got there, he spoke to a driver from Kansas that had been there since Christmas Day & said that there were almost 70 trucks when he arrived. They had about 1/2 of that when hubs arrived, 3-4 days later. Since hubs was on time, he got to go straight to the front of the line & was unloaded & back home in less than 2 days. He had a great experience at this dfa but theyβre not all like this. BEWARE DRIVERS- you must get a scale ticket, down the road before you get there, or you will have to head back out, after you arrive, possibly making you late for your appt. Ask ahead of time, where to get your scale ticket, before arriving. DFA has a few tricks to keep retention $$ in their pockets, do not fall for it when hauling their products. Thanks Winnsboro for taking care of hubs quickly. Would haul another load there, anyday
