We received a shipment from YRC, we had received over 60% of our shipment damaged upon delivery. I agreed to accept it and only ask for reimbursement on the broken items instead of turning away the entire shipment. To me this seemed like the most logical and amicable way to meet in the middle. I was told this was possible on the phone. As soon as I started asking for refunds for the damaged product I was told "because I signed for the product, its now entirely my problem" even though I was told different and documented everything with pictures and statements. Will absolutely never use them again. Its a 1 star review because 0 stars isn't possible.

Never in my 40 years of working with trucking companies have I had such a bad experience - Customer Service acts like you're interfering with their day - and how dare I ask about a late shipment- "we are running about 4 days behind". What? Not sure how these people stay in business but I will make sure my shipments NEVER use these people again. Had to pick up my shipment from the dock because they couldn't give me a delivery estimate. I was 5 miles from the terminal! They didn't care!!!

I have been working with YRC for over 10 years and I have to say they are a great company. Yes they are not the fastest service but they do a great job for very competitive prices. Since the 2020 supply chain issues they are experiencing more delays than normal but this is expected. My advice is if you are in need of fast and guaranteed service don't use YRC you can use HNRY that is a parent company of YRC but they have more expedited options with decent pricing. But if you have time YRC will give you the best coverage USA and Canada and they will deliver your freight in a reasonable time for very good prices. They have misplaced pallets for us but most times is because we haven't labeled them properly. The last time they lost one I had taken pictures so I went back to the depot and showed them my pics and they were able to find it. So labeling properly makes a big difference and not being in an hurry. I am very thakful for all the help they have given me, customer service is mostly good but there will always be some mean and lazy people everywhere. If i get a bad agent i just call back again and normally I get someone nice that is willing to help. Same thing happened to me when I called Apple. So YRC is very good over all everywhere, I worked with them hundreds of times all over Nortamerica.

I am not a commercial shipper. I have never worked with a freight shipper, which is very different than shipping by UPS, FEDEX or USPS. I felt lost in how to proceed. I called YRC and received super assistance from Samantha. She created the documents needed and contacted the receiving YRC depot (Orlando)to make them aware I was taking my package to them. When I arrived, I was greeted by every employee that I saw and provided directions to the correct office. They assisted in unloading my 195 pound package and wished me a good day. I have served as a trained and certified instructor for a branch of the Federal Government. Bottom line: YRC provides outstanding customer service!

I have been having a terrible time with YRC Freight. I ordered a piece of furniture off Overstock that I, unfortunately, had to return. Dealing with YRC has been a disaster from drop-off to pick-up.

When we originally had the furniture delivered, we asked to be given a head's up when the driver was about an hour away. We weren't living in our home at the time, so we needed time to get over there to accept the delivery. The driver ended up calling when he was 20 minutes away, so we had to drop everything and get over there. When we arrived, the driver said he couldn't take the palette into our garage and we'd have to take the boxes off ourselves. There were five boxes all upwards of 50 pounds.

The real fun starts when we had to return everything. There wasn't any communication from YRC about when they were going to come to pick up our boxes, they just showed up one day. The day they showed up I was at work since I had no idea they were coming. Needless to say, we had to refuse to pick them up and have them come on a different day. Then, they came back a different day and told me I needed to have all of my boxes on a palette and shrink-wrapped - all of which I was never told and didn't just have laying around. So, I needed to reschedule a third time to try and find my materials. Meanwhile, I called YRC multiple times trying to understand how I was responsible for returning the boxes in a manner I didn't receive them. It makes total sense that they need to be on a palette - it's easier for the driver to pick them up that way. My frustration came in that I wasn't ever told I needed to have the boxes ready in this fashion.

Fast forward, and we eventually worked it out so the boxes could be picked up. Story over, right? Wrong. A week and a half later I receive two $200 invoices from YRC for pickups with no freight. I was charged for the first time they showed up - the one I didn't know they were coming. And then charged for the second time they showed up and surprised me with the fact that I needed to have my boxes on a palette and shrink-wrapped. No time during my several calls did anyone from YRC inform me that I was going to be getting charged for each time a driver came out. And when I did call, they always blame Overstock (which isn't innocent in this situation, by the way). It's been extremely frustrating to be caught in the middle of two companies that don't seem to talk to each other and have no idea what the other is doing.

I purchased a Truck Engine and it was shipped through YRC Freight Orlando. The engine arrived at their dock and sat there for 2 days not being delivered. When we called them to find out the issue there was no good reason given. Since we needed the engine we had to go pick it up ourselves even though we paid for Shipping. It turns out the engine was bad and had to be returned. This time YRC driver stated they couldn't fit onto our COMMERCIAL property because they had a freight truck. I called the office myself to express this was a mechanic shop with already trucks on the property. The rep was very rude and unwilling to listen. We ended up having to take the engine to their location AGAIN. User beware they are lacking skilled truck drivers and don't care if you have a time limit or not.

They seem to have a careless attitude with their customers and state that they will get back to you about your issues, but instead leave you in the cold. Furthermore, it seems it is perfectly OK with them to lose my delivery and make it my problem to solve, please stay away from this company!! They should be ashamed of themselves for how they handle freight deliveries.
