Was used as helibase for Mendocino Lightning Complex of 2008. Now helibase for Ranch fire of Mendocino Complex summer 2018. I have been told the runway is higher in its mid-section. The trip into town on Sherwood Rd. is steep with a stoplight at the bottom. Your brakes will wear.

Nice little airport. Very friendly place with a pilot lounge. Runway is not level, humps in the middle, but wide and nice asphalt. Easy place to get into

No Starbucks, no cinnabun, horrible bathrooms, staff were completely non existent, no plugs to charge my phone or my computer and they lost my luggage...
