I purchased a bronze at auction. Being it was quite heavy, my wife was VERY CONCERNED about how it would be packed for shipment. She called Westside Mail Center and they were kind enough to explain how they pack heavy items. It met with her approval (how she would pack it). The bronze was received EXPERTLY packed, arriving in PERECT condition. We cannot praise them highly enough for the job they did. THANK YOU Westside Mail Center.

I have been coming to Westside Mark Center for about 7-8 years now. They are always able to find a shipping method that works within my budget and expectations, but one of the best reasons to come here is that their packing is second to none! If you have awkward items, or especially valuable or fragile items, they will package it for you better than ANY other shipper I’ve been to. I have sent firearms worth tens of thousands of dollars, rare memorabilia, and other things that just need to arrive at a certain time, and I know I can trust them to fully protect my packages. Thank you Len and Dani and the rest of the staff 👍

Westside states in their promotional materials that they handle shipping for 7 auction houses; this isn’t necessarily a good thing because they take weeks to ship out items due to the sheer volume of what they need to pack. As someone involved in process management and cross-functional efficiencies, I would recommend they hire more staff to pack and ship given that it took a month to receive my fairly small auction items (won in early August, received in mid-September). Meanwhile, during the time I was waiting, I received multiple shipments from other auctions that took place later, including international shipments from Italy and Germany. On the plus side, the items were packed well.

It’s not like the prices are economical to justify waiting either; in fact, the shipping quote (two options) were higher than any other I have ever received relative to size and weight and only for economy ground (FedEx Home Delivery). I’ve packed and shipped cast iron sinks and heavy clay planters for nearly half the cost of my lighter and smaller goods. I understand they need to jack up the price to pay for labor and packaging, but this is exorbitant especially given the delays.

Again, some of the profit should be spent on hiring another packer to accelerate the process and attempt to balance out the high quotes with customer satisfaction. There is no option to reduce the cost either, and the paperwork Westside provides with the quote says you can abandon your items if you don’t want to pay the shipping. So, if you don’t like the prices and aren’t local, the only choice is to surrender the items you already paid for.

$1000 to ship $300 of items, nothing significantly heavy. Mostly art and junk. They are a scam. Stay away from their auctions and shipping. I’m

I purchased two firearms from Bradford Auction Gallery on 10/22/23. I paid for the items the next day and the firearms were sent to Westside Mail Center. I received a quote from Westside Mail center on 11/1/23. I called Westside on 11/2/2023, chose a shipping option, and gave my credit card information. While speaking to the representative, I asked if I would receive my items the week of November 13 -17, because I would be out of town for business the week before and following two weeks after. Additionally, my FFL does charge for storage after seven days. Therefore, if required, I was willing to pay for expedited shipping. I was assured, I would not have to pay an expedited fee and that my FFL would receive my items by Monday the November 13th.

The FFL I used had to send their information three separate times, the lesser price to pack and ship two firearms was $143.12, and I didn't receive tracking information until 11/11/23. On 11/15/23, I called to find out the status of my items and found they hadn't been shipped. I spoke to Amber, she told me the items should be shipped out today. I let her know five days between creating a label and shipping an item was unacceptable and there were a number of communication issues. Lenny (the owner) grabbed the phone and started yelling at me. He said that he services seven different auction houses', there are 50 people ahead of me, "you are not the only one", "we ship 100 items a day," I need to wait my turn and I did have the option to pay another $49 for same day shipping.

Lenny didn't take five seconds to listen to any of the communication issues within his own company.

My advice to Lenny is take the time to know what issues your business has so it can function better and grow. If an owner has the time to stand over employees and listen to phone calls, that person also has the time to note complaints and resolve the issues instead of adding to them. Get more employee's during peak times, be honest with the auctions and let them know if Westside can't handle the volume of packages, and/or sell your business if you don't like dealing with people.

If I had the time, resources and desire, I would start a competing company, just to put the Westside Mail Center out of business.

Unfortunately, businesses like this one are the reason why consumers go to the bigger companies. WestSide Mail Center had an opportunity to prove they are worth future business and they failed.

If you are local, they may treat you better. However, if someone out of state is purchasing from any of the Auctions in the Sun City, AZ or surrounding areas, I recommend finding another shipping company.

I hope my items do not come damaged or incur additional delays, just because Lenny, the owner, wants to be spiteful!

The fees and pricing are astronomical. Any other shipper would have been 1/8 of the price.
