On New Years Day, we pulled into a Pilot Station off I-10, near Salome, AZ, and discovered our 46-foot 5th wheel (with 3 axles), had an axle/spring hanger failure. The axle was stressed and not aligned, which was wearing two tires heavily and nearly unmovable for any distance. This was a major catastrophe for us, and happening on a holiday, when everybody is home enjoying family and friends.
We searched Google for a welding service and first one that popped up was ‘Weld Shop.’ He had a 5-star review and phone number. We called and he answered and explained our predicament and he asked us where we were. We explained our location and he was 45 miles away and immediately got on the road and headed to our rescue. I texted him pictures on the way.
He arrived in about 40 minutes and immediately got to work repairing and replacing along with beefing up that hanger along with finding, multiple other cracks on other axle/spring hangers and associated braces.
I’m a pipefitter by trade and know welds. This guy is a top-notch certified welder and was very knowledgeable in knowing what to do and how to do it. He replaced the hanger and added more strength, so it will never fail again.
We can’t say enough about his service and help for us in a desperate time of need.
He was a life saver and so very reasonable for responding so far away from his home base, on New Years Day holiday. An actual Godsend for us!

Needed a new hitch coupler welded onto our Casita. Called the Weld Shop, set up the appointment, Mr. Valencia verified the day before and then showed up bright and early the next morning. He did an exceptional job with the weld and install of the new coupler. Price was very fair. But most of all, we enjoyed meeting and talking with Mr. Valencia. He impressed us as a man with morals and great character. We highly recommend his welding services.

We're here in Quartzsite, AZ for the winter and doing maintenance on our RV. Called Weld Shop to get some welding repairs done to the front of our rig. Julio came out to us the next day, removed and replaced the damaged metal plates to get us back on the road. Very grateful for his quick response in our time of need. Thank you Julio.

On a visit to Quartzsite with our RV, the burner tube in our oven broke. The stainless steel tube has a tin heat deflector spot-welded to the top that fell off. I tried to get a replacement part from Magic Chef, from the dealer, from the RV manufacturer - nobody had the part, everybody said I needed to buy a new oven. A welder in Phoenix told me stainless steel couldn’t be welded. NOT TRUE! I was referred to J.R. Valencia. I brought him the parts, and in 5 minutes he had it fixed and ready to go back into the oven. He’s obviously very skilled, has all the tools, and was very helpful. Saved me hundreds of dollars and lots of frustration that would have resulted from junking an otherwise good oven that’s only 2 years old!
