I could not have been happier with my experience with Heidi and Alison! I primarily saw Heidi for appointments before the birth of my son, but had ample opportunity to get to know Alison as well. Prenatal appointments felt like talking to an old friend, were very easy going amd non-judgemental. I had a lot of reservations about how I wanted to proceed with care, some of it was not knowing enough about a topic to decide, and some was of it had to do with prior negative experiences with health care professionals.

Through their knowledgeable teaching and guidance, however, I was able to make informed, confident decisions on the care I recieved. Not only that, but I felt at ease knowing that I was working with true professionals.

Both Heidi and Alison were present when my son was born in my living room. Easing me through the process of labor seemed to be just second nature to them (makes sense since they do this for a living!). They took good care of my lil bub after he was born, and post partum visits went smoothly. One thing I will note is that when scheduling issues arosee, they were very accomodating to work with me to figure out alternative times for visits.

All in all, 10/10 would reccomend <3 Also I reccomend renting their aqua doula birth tub. Sturdy, with a heating element to maintain temperature... sooo nice, haha!

During the birth Alison provided a great mix of hands-on attention as well as space for me and my partner. I was actively involved in all the conversations about my care. Alison was gentle and relaxed and very easy to work with during every part of our experience. She's a very dedicated and skilled midwife.

It’s hard to put into words how lucky we feel to have had Alison as our midwife for our first baby. We knew from the moment we met her that she was someone we felt at ease with and could trust fully. The care she provided from prenatal to postpartum was above and beyond what I imagined for such an important life experience. Throughout the process she was able to provide us resources so we could make the informed decisions that felt right for us. When it came time to labor, she allowed the perfect balance of space to trust my body and birth the way we wanted, while supporting and empowering me when doubt set in. She has such a calm confidence and professionalism when handling any complications that may arise. Immediately after the birth, she allowed us time to bond as a new family while she cleaned everything up before I even noticed! After she guided us through the newborn exam she “tucked us in” and left us to cuddle with our new addition even more. I cannot imagine giving birth without Alisons support, she truly feels like a part of our family and we will surely be seeking her care again with any future pregnancies!
