Beautiful twin lakes at Mammoth. Two beautiful lakes back to back separated by a little bridge. The views are breathtaking, the walk is not too challenging, and their is a lovely chapel hidden in the woods across the bridge. It was nice to see the lake and all the fall colors. We usually come and walk on the frozen lake. What a cool fall experience!

Lovely spot. The views of the falls and the lakes are arguably the best here, as you get to see the crest of the Sierras above the waterfall. It will be crowded though, even when the upper lakes are not.

This was one of our stop during our Death Valley trip in April, and it was frozen all over. Both sides of the bridge offered great views, and it was amazing to walk on snow for a change as we don't see that much in San Diego. There were enough free parking around the lake, near the bridge area. Part of the ice was thick enough to have people walk over, but near the bridge it was thing and melting. There were no signs or indication of how safe the ice was so I would just be careful and use common sense if you come here when the lake is frozen.

Very picturesque place especially during the fall. They have a bridge in the center of the long lake in which you can take photos on either side. They also have a long trail to hike on and explore the vistas overlooking the lake.

There is a nice loop to take around the left side of the lake and a place to rent boats and a store as well. Beautiful lake.

Very beautiful spot to have amazing views of the twin lakes, specially looking south with the peak mountains and the reflection on the water. Best lighting in the morning for the pictures and the crowds too. this bridge I find it is better than the viewpoint a bit north in my opinion. There are some spots along the road to pull over or you can just walk along.
