Our guide, Denver, was knowledgeable about the sea life and the geology and the history of the area and was also a good instructor when it came to kayaking. Katya was extremely helpful, organizing our trips and figuring out which trips were the best for us. We had a terrific experience with True North.

Fabulous day with True North and our lovely guide. We started out with a water taxi ride across Kachemak Bay and then hopped into the kayaks for 7 miles around the bay and through Halibut Cove. Our wonderful guide pointed out everything along the way, which was very interesting. We finished with a 4 mile round trip hike to Grewishk Glacier Lake. It was a beautiful, clear, sunny day and we all had a great time! Thank you True North.

True North is so great! Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. We visit for rentals every time we are in Alaska (at least every other year for the last 10 years). Highly recommend!

This tour was just OK. Our guide was very difficult to hear, even up close. When someone asked to speak louder she simply says “this is as loud as my voice gets”. I thought that was an obnoxious thing to say to a bunch of people who paid good money to learn about the flora and fauna, Yukon island and the bay. In addition, the main guide was so far ahead of everyone it was basically a private tour for one guy in our group.

Although we had fantastic weather, we did not see much fauna other than a bald eagle and some birds. I wish I felt differently because I was very excited for this excursion, but this was not close to a highlight of a trip of a lifetime in Alaska. Going on this tour with this tour company was the only activity I did over two weeks that did not get a five star review.

My brother and I were looking for something to do while we were in Homer for a few hours. We spoke to a few water taxi companies to see what was available for an afternoon adventure. We walked into True North Kayak Adventures and were greeted right away and they set us up on a ride-along with Jordan. Jordan was awesome! Very knowledgeable of the area and showed us some amazing wildlife! Our afternoon was perfect! Thanks Jordan and True North Kayak!

On June 14, 2022 we did the Elephant Rock 6hr tour. Our guide was Tyler and he was absolutely amazing! Not only was he a wealth of knowledge he was a genuinely awesome dude. We saw so many awesome sights, animals and learned so much. The tide fluctuated about 22 ft while we were out there which was an experience in itself. Highly recommend this company and request Tyler!

This was a wonderful company to plan the kayak adventure through. They are efficient, friendly, and very reasonably priced. We thoroughly enjoyed our kayak tour around Yukon island and saw otters, bald eagles, a harbor seal, and various birds. The geologic features were stunning. Our guide Cordelia was friendly and very knowledgeable about the local history and wildlife. Would recommend!
