This place is hands down the very worst place to pick up cargo. I have read the reviews and the excuses they put about getting better never happen. We have been picking up cargo here for years and it is so bad that we have had to implement charging the customers extra when we come here because of how long they take. Throughout the years this has never gotten better. I don’t believe that it is entirely the employees fault because some are very nice and helpful but others are just very rude people which that happens everywhere. What boils my blood is the protocols that they have in place that are very unfair to the customers who use any of the airlines they handle. We bring in fish through this company let me explain what this translates into.
If any fish is “ready” before 9 am it has to be picked up the same day before 12 which is only a 3 hour window. Now here is what happens when you arrive. They are consistently backed up which means you should prepare to be here for about three hours. You have to park the truck on the street because there is never any parking. You have to check in using a barcode in the office. The problem with this is that if you leave your truck on the street, an officer will come and give you a ticket. But if you are waiting in the line and it turns 12 they charge you, Storage. So the airline basically tells you you either risk getting a ticket and walk into the office to scan the barcode or sit in line and possibly pay Storage. The next thing that they do is that even though you are tied to a strict time schedule they can take as long as they like to give you your Cargo. There is no compensation whatsoever for your time. One example is yesterday we sent the driver to the Airline at 10:30 AM to begin making the ridiculous line. During the two hour wait that the driver was waiting to get a door to park. We received an email notification that the shipment would be ready to pick up at 1 PM. Once you park, you need to make another line inside an office which is full of drivers waiting to be attended. When it was our turn, we were notified that the Cargo still wasn’t ready even though we had an email saying it was. At this point we had to wait an additional two hours in order to receive a cargo at 3:15 PM. So that particular day you had to pull out five hours out of your day to pick up one shipment. Any other airline at any given day will take one hour for this process. That is why I say it is absolutely not fair to the customer that you get charged if you don’t get there within their timeframe, but when the airline is at fault they do whatever they want.

I have to send a special Arnaldo Castro, he always is super special helping us with all pick ups and paperwork. Tonight I had incomplete paperwork from my office and they had to fix it and resend. And Arnaldo had to stay way past 9:00 pm to get this done. Thank you Arnaldo, you are world class!!

Horrible service none of the people at the front desk speak English, or they chose not to speak English, they work extremely slow I’ve checked in over a hour ago but I see other drivers come in and skip the sign in process all together, I have read all the reviews on this company while sitting here and they are absolutely correct, who ever is training the front desk staff is not doing a good job at all, there is no reason for this operation to move this slow when every other company in this air port actually gets things done and things moveing , when I asked the front desk if the check in mattered she was very rude and just kept repeating the same phrase ( you need to check in) which I had done twice seems to me like this is a mockery of a actual business, it should not take more than 2 hours to do intake paperwork that is already filled out.. this is madness And disgraceful and disrespectful to the drivers who have other obligations that now are ruined because the front desk here is incompetent…. Huge mistake putting these people at front desk !!! They need a supervisor to stand over them and make sure they are doing there job properly because I’m sure they are just playing around collecting a pay check … very disappointing

Worst place to go drop off cargo whenever it’s slammed no one deles anything up in management to relieve or make it more efficient I to move drivers out of the way. When air Canada drivers come through they don’t have a team dedicated to just air canada pick ups and another team or other airlines it doesn’t take much to come up with a plan to get everyone out in an efficient time

Super, super nice staff! We arrived to pick up cargo that Tri-Star received from Air Canada on our behalf. The staff were very helpful in helping us get our paperwork in order for customs and helping us load our cargo into our van. Clearly this place moves a lot of equipment through professional drivers and we were there just me and my son to pick up a small pallet. The office staff and the loading staff clearly saw we were not professional drivers/delivery guys and helped us get our cargo. Many Thanks!

My only issue was that our cargo arrived and Tri-Star called our business on the weekend (Saturday) but did not leave a voicemail. A week went by and they called again on Sunday and left no voicemail. About that time, with no package in sight or information communicated to us, I reached out to our shipper and he told me that Air Canada informed him it was ready for pickup from Tri-Star in Miami. I called Tri-Star at that point multiple times and the automated system would patch me through and then hang up on me. I finally reached out to Air Canada and they emailed Tri-Star requesting them to contact me. Tri-Star finally emailed me saying that my package was there for pickup and had been for 9 days, thus charging me $40.00 per day since it was not picked up. If the owner or management is reading this, I would recommend that your staff leave voicemails informing them packages have arrived, especially if they call on the weekend when some companies, like ourselves, are closed. Had your team left us a voicemail, we would have come right away to pick it up. Due to no voicemail being left, we had to try over and over again to contact to you when we became aware our package never arrived. Once contact was made, we were informed of the fees. The lady on the phone, Luisa, said essentially it was our fault since technically Tri-Star called us on the weekend. Again, no voicemail was left so we had no idea our package was ready for pickup. Thus, we'd recommend that your staff leave voicemails. We could have avoided what ended up being $400 in storage fees had the communication been better.

Thank you again for helping us secure our package and we hope our feedback is helpful to you. Cheers!
