By far the very best home improvement supply store and contractors. Just recently had a hailstorm, wound up hiring a company, that I found out after the fact, is not local. 2yrs ago bought a so call display model dishwasher for $350 and i thought that was a good deal. turns out it only worked 1 week and started to leak all over the floor. tried to get ahold of them for help but it fell on deaf ears..

I'm a mason from the rockford area. We needed more mortar for a chimney we were rebuilding in Winnebago. Being closer than rkfd, I figured I'd give top notch my business.

Two 80lb bags of mortar rang up to almost $22. So I say "wow, that's expensive. Welp, I'm here, I'm not driving to rkfd to save that money". The counter guy actually laughed and said "nope, not worth it".

He laughed at my response to their crazy price. 80lb bags are less than $5 in rkfd.

I'm not one to say I'll never stop there again, but considering the mortar was 10% junk in those bags and we had to fight it to use it, I'll drive out of my way in the future.

Hope you enjoyed your laugh guy. I wonder how your boss feels about it being the reason he lost a contractors business.
