Tony’s Pizza – A Timeless Ogden Classic

Tony’s Pizza in Ogden, Utah, isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a piece of my childhood. Every time I come back to town, it’s a must-visit for me and my family. There’s something special about stepping into Tony’s; the warm, welcoming atmosphere, the incredible staff, and of course, the unbeatable Italian food.

The pizza? Perfection. The crust is just right, the sauce is rich and flavorful, and the toppings are always fresh. But let’s talk about the rigatoni—hands down, one of the best in Utah. Perfectly cooked pasta, the kind of sauce you dream about, and a flavor that feels like home. And then there’s the vinegar salad—simple, classic, and absolutely delicious. It’s the kind of meal that leaves you completely satisfied, yet somehow always wanting more.

Tony’s is more than just a restaurant to me. It’s a tradition. It’s memories of great meals, laughter, and family gatherings. Whether you’re a first-timer or a longtime fan, you cannot go wrong with Tony’s. If you’re ever in Ogden, do yourself a favor and experience this local legend.

Everytime I come up to Ogden I’ve gotta go to Tony’s. The purposely limited selection of toppings and nostalgic vibe inside are a great experience and very opposite of the common fast food pizza chains.
The end of the crust is a bit thinner than most pizza joints so it’s a little different and it’s not overloaded on toppings which is easy to do these days.
I really enjoy the homemade sauce and the cheese blend they use.
Classic pepperoni is an absolute must for your first time but I’m a sucker for the olive options.
I wouldn’t come in expecting a fancy pie but the pies are timelessly classic.

It’s been several years since I have been here. The food used to be good and it has changed quite a bit, The meatball sub had no meatballs on it!! It was basically sloppy Joe mix! The atmosphere is the only thing that hasn’t changed and in which it should as it had not been updated since the early 90s the service was also not to par as we ordered side salads and we never got them, also the server never filled up my drink, Tony’s had so many misses this last visit but I guess I will always have the memories as a kid enjoying Fridays nights eating pizza and picking songs from the jukebox they use to have, I will keep those memories and not return to Tony’s

I’ve eaten at Tony’s Pizza since 1975. It was ALWAYS consistent until today. I live in southern Utah and when I have had the opportunity, Tony’s WAS always on my places to eat. My friend, who was raised down the street from Tony’s, and was raised in Ogden in the 60’s and 70’s, was blown away by how bad it was. The salad had so much vinegar on it, it gagged us. The garlic bread, although looked the same, wasn’t. Zero flavor. Then the pizza came out and I swear I have had better frozen pizza. Thin crust, burnt and like a thick cracker, a stain of sauce, and very little cheese. Hardly any mushrooms (pepperoni & mushroom) and it was toasted dark brown.

I’m thinking it was just a bad night until we checked out. Turns out it’s NOT TONY’S any more. The founder (Tony) ran the business and then the daughter took it over and the family had pride and made sure it was the same great pizza for decades. Around 2 years ago, the family sold it off and now it’s different owners, new culture, and definitely not staying true to their heritage.

If you’re in the mood for mediocre/bad pizza, go to the grocery store, buy frozen, and save your money. Tony’s has left the room.

The pizza and service are just the same as they ever have been. Great tasting pizza and sandwiches!
It's always been just as good as the last time I had it and if anything was ever amiss, they'd make it right if you engage in a civil conversation with them.

Tony's Pizza located at 403 39th Street in Ogden was the first restaurant style pizza I have ever had. That was more than a few years back. It was my favorite and I'll just say some decades later it still is. Tony's is a bit on the smaller size and is one of the few dine in pizza places that still remain. The atmosphere is cozy but it can get quite noisy at times. Some of the other items offered there include salads, breads and several types of sandwiches. They also offer take out, which can be either cooked or uncooked. This last time we opted for simple uncooked pepperoni pizza. If you need the correct directions for cooking their pizzas you can almost always find them with your order. There has only been one small issue with the pizzas we have ordered. They do tend to be a bit too greasy for my liking. This of course is a simple fix by dabbing it with a napkin or paper towel. Tony's Pizza is one of the very few places I am comfortable ordering from. If someone is in the mood for pizza I think this is an excellent and affordable choice.

Was recommended to this place by a local. Asked if I enjoyed a good meatball sandwich. Absolutely! Homemade roll. Amazing taste and flavor. Everyone on it included mustard, mayo, and ketchup. Absolutely tasty and reasonable price. Very impressed!
