I certainly was eating with my eyes when we first went inside Stan's donuts esp flavors I haven't had.
The donuts are pricier than what I would normally buy. "Standards" were $2.30 but we picked mostly "specialty"s @$3.30 and "dough boys best" @$4.30, cruffins @~ $6. Since we were just visiting, thought of it as a treat to bring back home.
Taste-wise, most were on the too-sweet side. 1/2 was ok for me. Except for the biscoff and cruffins which were good. Not enough fillings though. 3.5 for the donuts.
Added points for the ambiance. Like an old school diner with high tops, booths and some more comfy chairs so wouldn't mind sitting there for a bit.

The best donuts 🍩 in the area,but after 2 pm. on Sunday all the best donuts were gone,so get there early.

I occasionally come here for some donuts and a drink, but it always seems like service is slow in the drive-through. The reason I am giving it four stars is because they know how to make a good matcha latte, and I like their pistachio donut. Simple, but good, donut selection, so it isn't difficult to select 1/2 dozen or a dozen. Because they make the matcha latte the way that I like best, I would say it is worth the slow drive-through (though I'd prefer it'd be faster), but is overall good.

This place just has a vibe! The food and donuts is awesome, the coffee is excellent. I heartily recommend this over some of the usual name-brand coffee shops. You'll find it's cheaper and better all around.

Stopped in here with a colleague to get some assorted donuts and coffee carafes for a breakfast event. The staff was helpful and expedient and had no issue putting together a large order so quickly. Also, I misplaced my receipt (corporate expense) and manager Ivan was able to find it within minutes, a week out from being in store. Thanks to the team there, we'll definitely be getting breakfast there more often.

I visited Stan’s Donut Shop early one morning and really appreciated that they were open so early, providing a convenient spot for me and my friend to work and hang out for a while. The donuts and breakfast items we ordered were great, and we ended up spending over $45 during our visit.

I decided to try the pumpkin-flavored coffee, but after taking a sip, I realized it wasn’t the right choice for me. The flavor was overwhelming and much stronger than I expected. I approached the cashier to ask if I could exchange it for a plain coffee instead, but I was informed that I’d need to purchase another coffee. While I understand this might be their policy, I wasn’t looking for a free replacement—just a better experience in terms of communication and understanding. The interaction left me feeling a bit disappointed and hesitant about returning.

Overall, the shop has a lot to offer, and I enjoyed most of what I tried. However, a more positive and accommodating interaction would have left a much better impression. I hope to see some improvements in customer service and may consider coming back in the future.

Nice coffee and donuts place in Oak brook. It's at the corner of Butterfield Rd and Midwest avenue.
Seating space is limited but the interior is well done. Lots of pink everywhere.
Donuts and coffee are great.
But there were not too many other food options. I wish they can add some sandwiches or other easy to eat food which doesn't have to be very sugary.

Stan's Donuts is a must-visit! Their variety is impressive, from classic glazed to unique flavors like blueberry pancake. The donuts are always fresh, fluffy, and bursting with flavor. Plus, the welcoming staff makes the experience even better. Highly recommend!
