Set up and communication were solid, but we were extremely disappointed with the care and lack of expertise when it came to the pack job done by the staff of Southern Utah movers. My partner and I moved across country and they packed our moving trailer. When unloading our furniture we found that our mirror, book shelf, and dining room table were broken. The table was packed right side up with very heavy pieces on top which caused it to buckle in and break the entire frame underneath including the sleeve extension. We called Southern Utah movers to discuss the damages and they were prompt to answer our call and assist us. However, they said because it was not broken during the pack job-they are not liable. However, one of the staff members even agreed that the table should have never been packed that way. We ended up being reimbursed only $36 for our nice dining room table. As a result of these events, we would never use their service again or recommend to any friends. We hope they turn things around and treat local customers better.

We used Southern Utah Movers on July 1st. Ashton and Brant were scheduled for 2 hours to unload a 20 ft UHaul truck. Not only did they show up on time, they worked cohesively, and knocked the job out in 1 1/2 hours. I would highly recommend them for your unloading needs. Very professional and affordable.

We had to move a family member and we all lived at least 2 hours away. They got the whole apartment packed and loaded the Uhaul for us in just 5 hours. Everything that had to be taken apart was done so very well. Nothing broken. The movers themselves were wonderful. Super thoughtful and caring and went above and beyond to help us. Really above and beyond. I would absolutely recommend this company. Very pleased.

We were quoted between 8-9,000$ for a Cedar City to Las Vegas move. The final price was $13,200. After a heated conversation, they “gave back?” $800. However, they snapped a leg off my Yamaha piano, broke. a 3-1/2 foot concrete Buddha and tore a custom dupioni silk lampshade. Based upon their $.60 per lb. Insurance they sent a “resolution contract” offering $360 but only if we agreed (in a bold underlined paragraph) NOT to post any negative reviews. I refused to sign with the removal of that clause. They refused, I didn’t sign and we have not received any compensation for our damaged items. I do not recommend this company to others.

They were on time worked hard but they were not as professional as I expected. They were working in 100 degree heat for most of the day and left lots of sweaty handprints on much of my furniture. To their credit they broke a mirror but called it in and had it replaced before the day was over. I also found splinters in my mattresses and quite a few knicks in my dressers and tables. I didn’t complain because I felt they did the best they knew how but company needs to stress a little more delicate handling of fine furniture. They were very pleasant even though it took 16 hours. I felt the move was worth what we paid.

After receiving quotes from several movers, we selected Southern Utah Movers to make our re-location from Cedar City to Sun Lakes, AZ

I have researched the dictionary and thesaurus, looking for the one proper word, that would do justice and properly describe our experience, with this company. Unfortunately, it was not possible. So my wife and I will just have to depend on the old standbys of WONDERFUL, GREAT, OUTSTANDING, FANTASTIC and a total pleasure.
The original plan was to take two days to load our shipment, but instead, they added crew members and equipment, working late into the night, to get it done in one day.
The owners and their staff, were pleasant, polite, listened and went out of their way to make sure we were being given excellent, stress free service.

The highlight, was when the owners, brought all their children to help us load some last minute items, that we wanted to personally take with us, apart from the big shipment.

We made the right choice and would not hesitate to recommend this company to any one needing moving help and experience.

Unfortunately, this company was not qualified to do the job we hired them for. Job was: properly package and move baby grand piano from inside the house to our enclosed trailer and make sure it is secured and properly protected. We were hauling it two states away. When we called them we asked them if they were experienced in moving baby grand pianos. They said yes. (Details not necessary of the exact conversation) they charged us 3 hour minimum and the bill ended up being $700. Much higher price for the work compared to our local professional piano moving company in CA we use ($200)

They charged us the full amount without permission two days before the job. Yes they owned the mistake and apologized. But the money stayed withdrawn from our account.

The day of the job the three guys came to do the work. Two of the three of them had NEVER moved ANY piano. They were all complaining about their bad backs, bad knees, etc. They did not remove the #1 leg of the piano at first and attempted to lay it on a furniture dolly. A loud noise let out and the best we can tell, only the wheel pad broke. We have yet to have the piano double checked by our piano expert back home to confirm what may have been damaged. They weren’t exactly keeping track of parts as they began dismantling the piano.

We had to help them load it in the trailer. Once loaded they hooked all the ratchet straps in the hooks of the trailer upside down. So that if or when the straps loosen the straps would fall right out of the hooks. Obviously we let them leave and redid their work to ensure the piano and associated parts were properly secured in the trailer.

We would not recommend this rookie crew to move your piano.

The folks at Southern Utah Movers were great at getting me moved in a timely manor. I needed help moving during finals week in college. Josh worked with me on pricing and scheduling and they worked quick on getting me moved. Big thumbs up! Be sure to check them out for your moving needs.
