I initially thought having a pull-up unit at SecureSpace Storage on Lonus would be convenient, but I quickly realized it was a mistake. My items were constantly covered in dirt and debris, making it impossible to grab anything quickly without deep cleaning it first. At one point, I noticed rodent control packets had been placed inside my unit, which raised concerns—especially since I used my own lock from a previous unit. It seemed like someone had accessed my space and thrown them in.

By the time I moved out, there were clear signs of a rodent infestation—feces on the ground and items that had been chewed through, forcing me to throw some things away. On top of that, the unit doors are old and unreliable. Mine got stuck multiple times, and on one occasion, I spent over an hour on the phone trying to get someone to help—on a Sunday, no less.

The biggest reason I left, though, was the rental rate hikes. I started at $151/month, and within a year, it jumped to $269. They raise rates multiple times a year, anywhere from $30-$45 per increase, which is unsustainable for long-term storage. A rep eventually told me that you can call to request a rate freeze when you get a price increase notice. I did this, and he claimed it was submitted—but sure enough, my rent still increased. That was the final straw.

If you value your belongings and want to avoid rodents, unsanitary conditions, questionable security, aging units, and skyrocketing rent, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

As a first time renter at your storage facility I was extremely happy with everything.

The moment I arrived I was greeted by a gentleman who i believe us your property manager, he was very courteous and professional. He gave me information on all the questions I had and was thorough explaining all the property rules as well as all the rates and current specials you are running. His attention to detail in handling my needs for a storage were above and beyond and I want to thank you. In no time he was able to help me pick the unit I needed handle all the paperwork with me and make sure I new where it was on the property as well as that the light worked in my unit and it was spotless upon entering to view it.

I have worked in hospitality industry for 35 plus years and can honestly say his attention to detail and explaining everything along with his very friendly courteous attitude lends to his excellent customer service skills.
I am very pleased with the unit as it is just right for my needs and I will recommend your property particularly this one to slll my friends and people I know who need a storage unit 10 stars for having someone as professional and experienced as he is and the property is immaculately clean and perfectly maintained. It shows he takes great care in his work and his job.
Thank you once again for such a perfect experience in a time where I needed it I highly recommend renting from here the rates along with the manager being so attentive and property being clean it’s a win win all the way around.

My family has rented various units here for 15+ years. There were issues before but nothing like what I've been experiencing the last 5 months.

I lost my parents in the pandemic and all I have left of them was entrusted to Secure Space. I wish I hadn't.

First there was a break-in and my unit was left unsecured for a significant amount of time. I live out of state now so I can't just go there whenever there's an issue.

I eventually got them to allow a family friend access and she told me there were signs of rodents everywhere. She couldn't handle it and left. God knows if any of my items that remain are salvageable. My friend didn't think there was.

Then my card on file expired and it's been a NIGHTMARE updating to a new one. Every month I have to spend hours trying to get SS to accept my payments, and I get different and completely unhelpful responses from every staff member I speak to. Late fees rack up (on top of the continual huge price hikes) and SS refuse to admit there's an issue with their system.

But what can I do? Until I can get to San Jose they have me over a barrel. I've paid over 20k for them to ruin all I have left of my parents and for them to make a painful situation even more painful.

If you’re looking for a storage facility that actually delivers on its promises, this is the place. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this facility is well-maintained, well-managed, and genuinely focused on keeping your belongings safe.

The staff here is easily the best part of the experience. They’re knowledgeable, helpful, and go out of their way to make sure you get exactly what you need. I had a few questions about unit sizes and pricing, and they took the time to explain everything without any pressure or upselling. It’s rare to find customer service this solid these days, and it made the whole process smooth and stress-free.

As for security, they take it seriously. Between the gated entry, cameras, and clean, well-lit grounds, I felt completely comfortable leaving my items here. It’s clear that this isn’t one of those rundown, forgotten storage places—everything is in great condition, and it shows.

The units themselves are clean, easily accessible, and available in a range of sizes. I had no issues getting in and out, and the whole experience was hassle-free from start to finish.

Overall, SecureSpace lives up to its name. It’s safe, well-run, and backed by a team that actually cares about its customers. If you need a storage solution, I’d absolutely recommend them.

The moment I pulled up, at the Storage site, I thought it was very clean and like what I saw and speaking to Shaylynn the day before help getting things going in the moment the place open at 9:30 I was greeted by Joe and another jet Gentlemen, which I don’t know his name But Joe was very friendly professional And made the process very easy and answering all my questions and I thank Joe for that I’m very blessed to get this outside unit and that was very close the moment I entered the gate And I just want to say thank you Joe and all your staff for making

The customer service I recieved was great. I was treated kindly and respectfully. Also the representative was very knowledgeable of what he can do. When I said my key was not working and I new it was the right key. He did not brush me off, he said let me try, sometimes these locks are little tricky. His name was Hans, I hope I spelled his name correctly. Also I witnessed him speaking to a tenant that parked in area that was marked, no parking and it made it difficult for others to get by. He was very respectful to let them know this is wrong and it is clearly marked. I appreciated that.
