Risinger Review: Safety Concerns Unaddressed

My experience with Risinger started off smoothly, with onboarding and the initial process being seamless. However, things quickly went downhill when I was assigned a 2024 Volvo truck with over 100,000 miles. During my pre-trip inspection, I noticed the truck leaning to the side, steer tires needed to be replaced, and the truck required a PM. As a professional driver, I know that safety starts with you, and I wanted to ensure that everything was in top condition before hitting the road.

Unfortunately, when I brought this to the attention of the shop and safety team, my concerns were dismissed. Despite raising valid points about the need for tire replacement and overall maintenance, both departments declined to replace the tires. Given that I was the one responsible for driving the truck, I felt that my concerns for my own safety—and that of others on the road—weren't taken seriously.

Rather than issuing me a new truck or addressing the problem, I was offered a rental car to return home. While I appreciate the option to leave, I was disappointed by how my safety concerns were handled. In this industry, drivers need to feel confident that their equipment is roadworthy, and in this case, I didn’t get that reassurance from Risinger.

I'm giving risinger 2 stars because the people there were nice. Unfortunately, kindness doesn't pay my bills. I worked for 5 weeks straight and made $1500 (thats an avg of $300 a week). I had to leave. The first 5 months was good with them. But I never went home during that 5 weeks. I had no choice but to leave. If you don't mind not bringing home a check, but being around decent people, Then come to risinger. It seems they are a revolving door. With orientation every week. It just doesn't seem like they really want us to stay. If they did, they'd stop hiring drivers and focus on the drivers they have. Making sure we get the 3k miles we need in order to actually bring home a decent check. I would suggest they scale back and/or pay more. It is sad, because the people there are nice. But I did wonder why they have the whole place on lockdown the way they do. Obviously the drivers are very disgruntled.

Hi Matt, glad you're feeling better. I know you were sick. I went home for 2 weeks for Christmas and new years vacation. I was otr for 5wks straight. There's no excuse for the lack of pay. Any professional truck driver will tell you that. Guys don't fall for that. Read the reviews. They're all similar to each other. We aren't being given 3k miles, which is needed in order to make a decent check. Peace and blessings

This guy is a dangerous driver! By the looks of his truck he txts/plays games while driving all the time! 4:30pm in heavy Chicago traffic, he's doing just that! As a 23yr veteran driver, this guy needs to be fired! *My wife took the picture from the passenger seat*

Mostly a predatory loan company pushing along cost of business to trucker first, customer second and ultimately.
Some of the worst and least-motivated drivers I have ever worked with. Go regional.

I want to say this company have been good for my husband and I so far , good loads and pay as we buy our first truck.. the staff is great and I appreciate all of them.. come join the team💙💙💪.. Update after 8 month, on time get driving new truck 2025 Volvo..

All these company's are bs if u bring something to attention they send u home don't waste your time in Chicago anymore as they are not great any more like 10 years ago.....super ego magnum Beverly freight mgr freight they are very stressed with this economy u will be crumbled by a dispatch if u don't like they send u home no respect for driver they like a towel they throw drivers away get new ones

Company is terrible don’t even waste your time, everything about them is garbage. Safety is also garbage too. They pay their drivers garbage while taking the most money from your loads. This company should be audited

You notice under the reviews it’s always them defending themselves 😂 no accountability whatsoever and also they respond petty by putting your business under these reviews. I just found out that’s an lawsuit too they can’t spill your business on a public website especially if they’re referring to you as your name so i sent that information to others and Risinger will be getting hit with a lawsuit

And before you comment my business Risinger or edit your comment i have the receipts on everybody privacy you just violated..complete joke heard them drivers about to go on strike too and some drivers working on getting lawyers to sue

Driving through Ohio and a driver with this company was driving very aggressively and screaming out his window at other drivers. Very angry human.
