For over one year now we have notified Republic on how the blue can is dropped off in front of the driveway blocking access OR, it is dropped off up to 35 feet from where they pick the can up by the curb. I have spoken to 4 people going "up the ladder" in trying to get this resolved. The response is always the same. An apology and a promise that it will stop, BUT it continues. I am on the road a lot and so my wife (70 years old) ends up having to move the can for her car access or go down the hill to pick up the can and bring it back. She is inflicted with scoliosis and has a difficult time handling the can. Even with that, THEY JUST DON'T SEEM TO CARE!! I have even been given a full credits on my account. All we are asking is that whom ever the driver of the blue can is, to drop if off next to the black and green can like the other drivers do. OVER ONE YEAR with NO resolve in site. Next step.....I guess ABC (7) on your side consumer action team.

I've been a loyal paid up customer of Republic Services for almost 25 years. Why is it then that they consistently fail to pick up my trash on time? I've called them no less than five times since Monday morning.

I've just reported them to the EPA as this misconduct on their part constitutes a public health hazard.

This is the fourth week they have not picked up compost in our community. The driver left garbage on the ground. After picking up the recycling bin they left the compost bin outside on the parking lot. The service or lack thereof is unacceptable.

The drivers have missed pickup twice now since March. The first time it happened I called the next day asking why our trash wasnt picked up (Friday). They said they would send someone out today or Monday. Monday I called they said they would send someone out Monday or Tuesday. Trash didnt get picked up until one week later on Thursday when it’s scheduled pick up day. Same thing happened with my waste bin. Oh, and not to mention waste is supposed to get picked up on Thursday along with trash and wastes every other week. For this most recent pick up, Recology opened my waist bin, looked to see that there was waste and drove past my house. There was no reason that it should not have been picked up. There was no plastic in the waist or anything like that. It is yard waste so this weekend we were going to do our yard and we couldn’t because we had nowhere to put our yard waste.

Easy experience and friendly staff. Definitely better than most transfer stations and landfills. Although, directions could be a clearer with larger entrance signs and type of waste signage (or something similar) once inside to unload material. If that is fixed, I'd be willing to update my review to 5/5.

Please note, most of the other reviews are complaints about Republic Services residential service, not this particular facility.

This is a good place to dump all kind of trash and debris, from green waste to solid waste.

They are the worst, they change our schedule to whenever they want to “pickup” our trash, if they even pick it up! We live right behind the dump site, how do you skip Vine Hill every time… everyone had there recycling ready for pick up this week, then we all get a call saying sorry we will be picking up your recycling or green every other week now! How about a warning? Now we all have 2 full bins and still get charged?
