My husband spent 2 years looking for the right boat. He just happened to come across a consignment that fit the bill at Quest. Being from Colorado, there was a great deal of phone and video call communications before we made the 1000 mile drive to get the boat. Jeff was phenomenal throughout the entire process! He answered all questions without hesitation and was very kind and patient with us. He was even very kind to our dog who went on the lake test with us!! Sales Person Chris was excellent. I drove 3 hours from Milwaukee for a hot deal on a 2022 Hobie outback. I made sure to share my ETA with Chris as it was close to closing time. After hitting Chicago traffic I was going to be about an hour late. Chris stayed late to finish the sale and not only that but he gave me an extremely thorough rundown on the new kayak and all the features, care and maintenance. Really awesome they went out of their way to make it all work out for me driving all that way.

Highly recommend! The people working here so friendly and helpful. We rented a kayak and a paddleboard. The kayak with pedals was really easy to operate and steer. The day we had reserved ended up being unusually chilly and windy. They told us if we wanted to bring the equipment back earlier than we had originally booked they would refund us for part of the time. We had fun but due to the weather, an hour was enough. The processed the partial refund immeditely. Great for beginners or people with kids.

I had a Hobie Oasis tandem kayak that I rigged up for fishing and liked it so much that I decided to upgrade to a true Hobie fishing 2019 Outback. Like many, I searched online for the best price and quickly realized that Hobie is a premium brand and doesn't discount prices, they also have a set shipping price for dealers. I learned about Quest at the Chicago boat show and reached out to Chris to discuss my purchase. He explained the benefits of buying from a local dealer, and I later learned from posts that some online purchasers yaks arrived with warped rudders, dented hulls, etc when received, and the owners had to install or fix themselves...mine was thoroughly inspected prior to purchase. Chris has been consulting on Hobie's for many years and it's obvious, he's extremely knowledgeable about Hobie's; the accessories, installations, electronics, etc. Chris was also very responsive to my several questions (via phone, text and email) and offered up suggestions and completed the installation of many accessories that exceeded my expectations for my new decked out yak. I live almost 2 hours away from Ottawa, but it was WAY worth it to do business with the Chris and the owner Jeff at Quest Watersports. It also feels good to support a local business. Highly Recommended!!!

Rented a paddle kayak for a few hours out on the water and had a fun time. Staff was helpful for measuring us up for life jackets and explaining how to operate the kayak (first time for us) as well as getting in. No issues on our return or problems with the boat. Was able to do most of the safety training and other paperwork before arriving so it was only 5-10 minutes after getting there before we were in the water.

Great honest people! I am from Canada and left my boat in Ottawa Illinois. Needed some work and Quest was on it. Never met them all over the phone and they did great service for a great price! Nice to know there are good Marine service/repair people out there as me have been ripped off many times.
