This company stole over of my furnishings for my house and broke most of the other glassware and things packed and so many missing boxes and items. They charged an astronomical fee for services not rendered. This company needs to be closed down. Have made numerous complaints against them with Attorney General, Better Business Bureau and will continue to write bad reviews on this company. They are a bunch of scam artists and thieves. I gave pictures of what delivered and destroyed!!! Do Not Use this Company!!! You will be sorry and not be reimbursed for damages and their stealing!! Only a few photos enclosed. Washer and dryer completely destroyed and unable to use. Mattress sets, dressers, bedroom sets are destroyed and scratched up. All parts missing unable to put together and they left everything in the floor. Nothing set up because the parts all missing. Incompetent staff, drivers and delivery set up people. They should sued and shut down their business for good!!!

I booked United Best Moving, a moving broker (do not use), and was assigned Pronto Moving and Storage as the movers. Before the actual loading began, 2 guys showed up. I am assuming to survey what needed to be loaded and immediately stated all my property would not fit on the truck they "rented" even though all items to be moved were listed on the inventory sheet. When the foreman arrived, he immediately collected the certified check I purchased and told me it would cost an additional $5,546 for 3 bulk items, including my washer, dryer, and refrigerator. The charge was also for fuel, material-don't know what material they provided, and labor which are charges that are included in the base price. I chose August 2, 2022, as my first available delivery date (FADD) and was told after I paid that they had 30 "business" days to deliver my property. The name listed on the paperwork to email and/or call for status was not at the company when I called a week later for an update. For about 2 weeks straight, I received an email that stated, "This email is to inform you that our dispatch team is working on getting your household items scheduled for delivery as soon as possible. " The third week I emailed the person who was emailing me just to find out she was no longer with the company. I finally received about 90% of my property on September 14, 2022. I did not receive the following: my washer, dryer, refrigerator, 3 TVs, 3 electric scooters, a grandfather clock, a bass guitar, a pair of UGG boots, and MY king-size mattress. I did, however, receive SOMEONE else's sleep number mattress. The boxes were in poor shape, a kid's table came with 2 out of the 4 legs, broken dishes, a picture frame, and chipped wood. I have relocated between several states and have NEVER had this type of experience before in my life. It is unbelievable that this company is still in business. I continue my plight to get restitution for my multiple missing and broken items and/or a refund of the overpayment and fraudulent charges. None of the paperwork list where or how to file a claim so I sent a certified letter to the Illinois address listed at the top of my paperwork. Still there has been no response.

Run away from this Syndicate of a company! I am beyond livid that a company like this is allowed to operate in the United States. I paid Pronto Moving and Storage $4,100 + $350 tip to safely move my property from Oak Park, Illinois 60302 to Acworth, GA 30101 on 03/29/2023. They agreed to move just about half of all my items (729 sf) at the price above. (Their pattern of operation is similar to the previous reviews. Send two guys on the day of the move. One of whom is Nick - Nick comes not to move your things but to fleece you of every dollar you have). because they were going to collect double this price to move all my things. I moved the rest via Uhaul including glass items. I regretted not doing this all by myself. On delivery of the property at the destination, my priced furnitures were broken. It is obvious that someone YANKED it off deliberately (see pictures). A manager at the company rang me on the day of delivery after hearing about this dismal situation and identified himself as the Owner. He called himself DJ. He promised to compensate me for the damaged furniture but since then has not picked my calls or responded to my text. Someone needs to stop this company from causing any more damage. This is sheer wickedness. I am just a couple of years in the US and this people give this great country a very bad image. The emotional trauma is beyond comprehension. Please run away from Pronto Moving and Storage

I would not recommend this company for your moving needs. They were given my job because I was told the other moving company , Gin & Lou, could not access my delivery location with a semi…which I believe was a lie. So they ā€œhad to use a shuttle service ā€œ and charged me an extra $600 i was not originally quoted. They gave me this news less than 24 hours before my delivery and said they wouldn’t unload without payment in full. The drivers were not careful with my belongings - I had damage to my antique furniture , my space heater and a dozen of my cherished ceramics were smashed to bits because of carelessness and disregard for a box that says FRAGILE , GLASS /CERAMICS and DO NOT STACK. I was most peeved about the poor communication , really the lack there of. The drivers then had the audacity to ask me for a tip. Sorry, no.

Was under quoted severely on price, and lied to about what services we paid for. Boxes were packed poorly. For example, they put our 3000 dollar desktop computer in a box without any protective wrapping. Same with our monitors and laptops and Playstation. Our tv, crib, 2 computer monitors, 2 end tables, electronic piano, and more were all broken due to negligence. In addition, we paid for small boxes, medium, and large, but they didn't use the small...only medium and large, and filled 3/4 of the way with lots of vacant space so they would take up more cubic space on the truck. They ended up charging us 6,000 dollars more than originally quoted only after they had packed and loaded all our stuff. And then even more when they got to our new apartment. To move a two bedroom apartment we ended up paying over 16,000 dollars, which is way more than the national average. We were originally quoted 8,000. We paid for a "full pack," specifying we only wanted to hire a company that would pack and unpack our goods because I have a baby...but when they got to my house they pretended that they don't offer that service and they just left without inventoring anything and a table and my tools are missing...it was an extremely toxic experience. I have used different movers for long moves twice before and it went fine. This was awful. I'm generally a pretty chill person, and if a few things break during shipment that's understandable. But they literally just dumped stuff in boxes.

This entire group of people employed by ā€œPronto Moving and Storageā€ are absolute thieves. Not only did they quote me $5,800 and then refused to deliver my property until I paid them the balance which ended up totaling $14,000, but literally 50% of my property was not delivered.

They took complete advantage of me as I was in a vulnerable position.

No attorneys were willing to help me since I was being reasonable and only asking for $10,000 to be refunded, and that wasn’t enough for an attorney to help me.

I actually had to call the police on the movers twice when they delivered my property.

I filed a lawsuit through the small claims court of the Cook County Court system online since I was living in another state. I’m a smart person and even have a Masters degree, and after a year of blunders with the Cook County Court system, I finally had to fold for the sake of my sanity. I thought, Cook County shame on you for making Justice so difficult on people who have been taken advantage of and basically robbed by a business you were forced to overpay. Good for you Cook County, keep protecting your criminals, that seems to be who you want to protect. This move with Pronto Moving was truly devastating and traumatic for me.

All of the people employed here during the time I moved in March 2022, should seriously be serving jail time. I imagine this business doesn’t have a penny on their bank account.

Pronto Moving and all of its employees are the most shameful people and so called business I have ever come across.

Worst moving experience of my life. I am a retired veteran of the US Armed Forces living on a limited income. I have been through many moves, both during my military career and my post military career so I speak as someone who has been through many moves and has dealt with a number of moving companies.

Pronto M & S ended up charging me over double what they had quoted me. The estimator severely underestimated the amount of space that would be taken on the truck by my household goods. This, after assuring me that he had never underestimated a move. it’s the classic bait and switch. The men sent to move my goods had half my stuff on the truck before they told me that I had already use the space allocated and that they were told was needed. The only choices I had were to either have them unload the material on the truck or tell them to stop and I would have to take care of the rest on my own. So a move that I was quoted approximately $4500 for ended up costing over $11,000.

Then, after waiting several weeks for my goods to be delivered, I threatened to invoke the free 30 day storage that is included in the contract. Lo and behold, all of a sudden, the company managed to find time to deliver my goods.

As a final insult, the small claim I put in for some broken items has never been paid a year and a half after they delivered my material to me.

I purposely waited for 18 months to submit this review. The hope was that Pronto Moving and Storage would redeem themselves to a minor extent by paying my appproximate $500 claim. Sadly, they have not even contacted me about the claim I submitted.

DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, USE PRONTO MOVING AND STORAGE.

Save yourself agony and do not hire Pronto Moving and Storage. The worst experience that I’ve ever had dealing with any company in any business.

They originally provided an online estimate for my move from Phoenix to Cincinnati for $9k. I later spoke with an individual named James and he said that they could do the move for $11k and I needed to pay a deposit of 35% to lock my rate and date.
After paying my deposit a week before my move James asked to do a virtual walk through. After completing the virtual walk through he advised that my rate had gone up to $18k based on the cubic feet I was moving which was the same furniture that I had provided when I received my online quote for $9k.
In order to reduce my rate I removed several pieces of furniture and the James added 20% discount.

Moving day I received a call from Noelle the company’s dispatcher advising that their truck was over weight and they couldn’t get their semi truck to my home. They needed to rent a shuttle truck to transfer my belongings from my home to their truck and the cost would be $2700. At this time I couldn’t cancel because I would lose my deposit and quite honestly I had no other options to move my things.

During the move a 24 year old kid named Rocky was supposed to be the foreman, had random people from around the area showing up to my home to help with the move. At first he said he had 2 guys that were still back at the semi. But then 4 other guys showed up. They supposedly rented a 26ft shuttle truck from enterprise which per Enterprises website could only hold 1800 cubic feet when my job was estimated at 1825 cubic ft. However, the foreman told me the truck could hold 2200 cubic ft and charged me for the 400 cubic ft that I was supposedly over.
With all of this, all of my furniture couldn’t fit and I had to leave behind a valuable pieces of furniture. At the end of this ordeal I paid an additional $6500 on moving day for these mistakes and/or deceitful behavior by Pronto.

They took advantage of us under duress. My total job pretty much doubled in cost.
Do not let this happen to you… Stay far away from Pronto.
