This is a huge and super busy airport. The elevators and escalators are clearly marked and visible and makes it easier. The shuttle to rental cars works like a charm. The sky trains area available to go to the parking lots is cool. This is also a well-maintained airport. Kudos to the team for keeping this airport clean. There is lot of walking involved but you do have options of elevator or escalator. The baggage's arrived on time and flights fly on schedule. This is a great experience.

Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix is a great place to fly in and out of, and overall, I’ve had good experiences here. While it’s technically a large airport, it has a smaller, more manageable feel compared to some of the bigger hubs out there, which I really appreciate. Navigating the terminals is pretty straightforward, and everything is well-marked, so getting where you need to go doesn’t feel overwhelming.

That said, one thing to keep in mind is that the rental car center is quite a distance from the main airport. It’s not hard to get to—there’s a shuttle that takes you there—but it can be a little bit of a process, especially if it’s your first time figuring it out. Once you’re there, though, it’s well-organized, and the rental car agencies are all in one place, which makes picking up or dropping off a car pretty convenient despite the distance.

Inside the airport, I like how clean and well-maintained everything is. The dining and shopping options are solid, with a mix of local and national spots to grab a bite or a coffee while you wait. Security lines are usually efficient, and the staff I’ve encountered have always been friendly and helpful, which goes a long way in making the travel experience smoother.

Another thing I appreciate is how the airport feels less chaotic compared to some larger ones, even though it’s still a major hub. The layout makes it easy to find your way, and there’s enough space to not feel crowded even during busier times. The smaller feel, despite its size, makes it a lot less stressful to get around.

Overall, Sky Harbor is a well-run airport that strikes a nice balance between being big enough to have everything you need and small enough to feel manageable. Aside from the rental car process being a bit of an adventure, it’s an airport I genuinely like and don’t mind flying through whenever I’m heading to or from Phoenix.

It never feels too crowded, and getting through the airport is super easy. Our bags came out really fast, which was a nice surprise. There’s even a cool museum with exhibits about Arizona that make waiting around more interesting. Plus, the train between terminals is quick and smooth, making connections a breeze. Overall, it’s a stress-free airport that makes traveling a lot easier.

I would give a 5 star if there were more cell phone charging stations. Other than that, everything is perfect. It's convenient to take the Sky Train to the rental car center from terminal 3 & 4. The airport is huge. But signs are very clear and easy to navigate even for the first time visitors.

The Phoenix airport is a continuation of the urban sprawl of the city that has no identity. The airport is very busy and not super easy to get around. It’s packed on a normal day and during the holidays it’s a true nightmare. Mostly clean but a mix of 90’s industrial infrastructure trying to look modern. They made it good for sardines so next iteration they may have to consider if they can make it for human beings. The funny thing is they have the rolling walkways that is only for one person and signs show to stand on one side and walk to the left typically. The only issue is you can’t fit two persons right next to each other. That’s the Zonies ingenuity, squire everything together and it might work. The gates are for real sardines.

Arrived for a business trip. The terminal 3 included E and F gates. The concourse had a lot of natural light. After exiting, there were SkyTrain going to terminal 4 and rental cars. There was a confusion on the shared ride pickup. The terminal had two sides: the North Side was marked with doors 3, 5, 7 and 9; the South Side was marked with doors 2, 4, 6 and 8.
