Never had any issues. Maintenance responds in a timely manner. My only complaint is that they could update the apartments. They walls are plastered so I can hear the panel crack. And the floors do creak due to the building being old, but otherwise everyone on the management/ maintenance has been friendly.

Everything was great when I had moved in but I now am dealing with a new property manager (Miriam Small) who has made life a living nightmare. To start, on every contact with Miriam she has been cold, often condescending, and incredibly disrespectful. Time after time she has forgotten agreements I have made with her and previous the property manager then aggressively comments on them in conversation. Just today i was told maintenance would be coming (by Miriam) so I took my dog to daycare to avoid any possibility they wouldn’t enter. They never showed up which is a $65 bill i anticipate to send them the bill for. I’m incredibly disappointed with this management change which was previously excellent with my previous manager.

Maintenance has been another huge issue. They do not contact you before entering your unit which is against the law (735 ILCS 5/9-102) and have no showed on emergency requests such as ceiling cave-ins, and broken tile in shower repairs.

I strongly encourage other potential tenants to steer clear. I feel beyond disrespected by a resident corporation in which I felt valued before.

Miriam small needs to get off her damn high horse. I had the best time with mike and the lady before. I have tried to contact her a couple times about my issues and get little to no feedback. If anything I have been here for 2 years and will not be renewing my lease at the end of this year. You disgruntled and ill spiteful woman. Hope they get her out of that position soon. Who knows who else she’ll screw over.

I have been renting here for over 3 years, it was great until Mariam Smalls joined the property management team. She is rude and unprofessional. The only way I’ll renew my lease is if she is fired. Jan and Mike are desperately missed.

This company does not respect the safety or wellbeing of residents. Avoid renting with OPRC at all costs! In addition to peeling lead paint, infestations of cockroaches, ants, mice and moths, unsecure entry foyers, stolen packages, and subpar cleaning standards, they will spend money on landscaping and upgrading vacant units instead of installing safety features like cameras or properly locking doors. Maintenance staff enter apartments without permission or notice, and construction is done without consideration of existing residents (no proper notification or ventilation). CEO David Pope will make excuses or lie if issues are brought to his attention!!!

AMAZING experience! I worked with Nisa to get approved for my apartment. She was very knowledgeable of the showings, communicated throughout the process and checked up on me! I really really enjoyed working with her! The apartments are in nice areas and clean!! THANK YOU SO MUCH Nisa!!!

2 stars because I adore My Apartment. As the previous resident stated this company president bears My last name and im ashamed. I HAVE been dealing with someone named breanna alomg with case managers. No one even opd can tell me WHY management and maintenance constantly continue to Enter my apt . With no REASON. I have noticed they break something, where as i have to call for them to come back into my unit for repairs. I have videos as well. Someone broke into my unit do you tink Breanna, case managers, opd did anyting. They tell me to get renters insurance. GOD will have vengeance over My enemies. I GUESS THEY THOUGHT Due to my race I was not going to say or do anything. Stay tuned.

Been renting with them about 7 months and we are not happy with our experience. Maintenance workers only come to review the problem since I have been here I have put it about 7 work orders and I only get excuses for why something is broken or not working properly. I rented from Pangea for 10 years and they were the best. Anytime something was broken they came to fix it within 2 days not a whole lot of explaining needed. I thought moving to Oak Park was the best move but not with OPRC. No resolution ever provided for anything since I have been here. We pay our full rent(no government assistance) on time every month never late. However, the maintenance you get of your unit and property is worse than slumlords. Plus they go up on your rent every year regardless of anything. I gave it a 2 star because I love the size of my apartment.
