I purchase items weekly from auctions and I have to say this is by far the most dishonest auction company I have ever dealt with.
The truck I purchased was photographed from a distance and didn't show any of the imperfections.
I'm honestly disgusted with the purchase and I feel sick to my stomach thinking about what to do with this truck now.
I strongly suggest avoiding these dishonest individuals.
Buyer beware buyer beware and shame on you

I bought here in March 2024. They charge a total of 16% commission once it's all said and done. I had a good experience though. Easy pickup of item, girls in the office there are great, I called a few times asking about pickup and paperwork, always answered on first ring. Title dept was excellent. Was sent clean title in 10 days. Would do business again.

I bought pick up truck from Motley auction online bid but the way the advertise the track Like nothing wrong, but the truck is check engine light on broken engine and rust under the rocker panel. They hide all that they post the track is Like nothing wrong after I Paid the full amount they send me title by mail then I change my title and I got my registration and the tag then when I go to pick up the truck, the truck check Engine light is on and the truck is shaking and I picked the truck. Take to the shop, they told me the engine is broken and there is nothing I can do The shop advise me to change the engine or to scrap then I explain To the motleys manager his Name is Carson he told me nothing he can do about it I don’t know the engine is broken , they didn’t Mention on the description, they didn’t post anything that is check engine light is on and the engine is broken, and there is a rust under the rocker panel. They didn’t mention none of that and they know the track is broken before they post They did intentionally they sold for me pick up truck body They are scammer I am sure we’re gonna end up court soon so the court is gonna decide so I am encouraging people very careful with motleys auction. They are very unprofessional and they don’t have no sympathy They don’t care so do not believe anything what they post online unless you go and check.

Working with Motleys Industrial has been the worst experience I have had dealing with a auction house. I deal with two to three different auctions every year. Motleys policies are by far the worst. Everything was smooth up until coordinating the pickup.

Their yard is closed on the weekends, but they charge you for storage even though you cannot get into the yard to pick up your property. I settled up with the additional storage fees the morning I had coordinated for pick up. My driver was on site at 8am when the gates opened. The office lost my payment and would not let my drivers into the yard to start prepping for transport. It took them 2 hours to straighten out the issues with payment. 2 hours completely wasted that my driver was asked to sit outside the gate until they fixed their mistake. After they let us into the yard it took additional 3 hours to prep for transport as that was expected.

I requested reimbursement for the loss of time for two of my employees for a total of $150. Carson sounded like he was going to look into this and make it right. I sent him the additional information he requested and followed up with no response 2 weeks later.

For a company charging 16% buyers premium and fees, they should be able to provide a top notch service for what they are contracted to do. I did not find Motleys to be a company that took pride in how they conduct their business

Even though I live in Tennessee, I bought three items at a recent auction Motleys Industrial had. It was a great experience. One of the items I purchased was especially tricky. I worked with the field and office staff to navigate the issue. Everyone at Motleys Industrial was very kind, helpful, and a pleasure to work with. I found their policies and fees to be clear, user-friendly, and fair. For the above reasons, I highly recommend Motleys Industrial. I will definitely be checking out their future auctions.

Id like to start by saying I have bought hundreds of items over the past few years off auctions. I also understand the risks you take when buying stuff (blown motors, transmissions, etc). However, I have never been scammed the way I was with the item I purchased from here (the seller was the scammer not the auction house, however they should have made the issue right). I purchased a boat back in June. It was an early 2000s center console in rough shape. The listing stated the motor was a 2019. So, with that information I was willing to spend a good bit on the boat due to it having a newer motor. After winning the bid for just shy of $10,000 I went and picked up the boat. The seller that was selling the boat through the auction had put a new engine cover off of a 2019 over top of the actual motor which turned out to be a 2002 motor that was sunk so that he could make some extra money at auction. The motor was trash. I am not mad about the motor being bad (that is the gamble part of auctions), however I am mad that I paid almost $10,000 for a boat that was worth nothing other then the price of the 2019 motor that it supposedly had (per the item description). If the listing did not say it was a 2019 motor, I would have never bid anywhere near the amount that I had. In past experiences, usually auction houses will fix these types of issues. In this case I was told it was my responsibility to know that the description on the year make and model could have been a lie and that they do not verify anything. I have bought multiple vehicles in the past from this site but I will be taking my business elsewhere now and I strongly urge anyone bidding to go look in person and run the vin numbers before you buy so you don't make the mistake I did. They do state in the description that they don't grantee that any information is correct so unfortunately it is a lesson learned for myself. It is a poor way to do business, but definitely a lesson learned. Again I am not mad about it being sunk and the motor being bad, I am mad about the misinformation of the year of the motor by about 17 years.

I have had a 5 star experience with their Auto Auctions, however I was registered for the real estate auction in advance and had several issues.

The first major issue was having to register multiple times, since I had registered too far in advance. I attended their tax sale prep session which I do recommend as well. The biggest problem was that after having attended this I was under the impression that all of the bumps in the road would be disclosed here, but this is not the case. Your team should be more transparent about your online bidding policy. This is my biggest concern. After arriving at the tax sale there was over 400 people registered, and in a time of Covid they are enforcing masks which is great, but there was no social distancing whatsoever. The registration area made sure that even if you would want to social distance, you would be forced to register in a crowded area with cluttered lines. As a customer or employee I would not feel safe in this environment. After expressing this concern and asking to bid online or by phone I was informed that I would have had to bring funds 24 hours in advance. This at - no point - was ever mentioned during their seminar, or during the registration despite "encouraging online bidding".

I informed your team that my mom is in the at-risk category and that no real estate investment is worth sacrificing my family's safety.

Auto Auctions: 4.5 Stars
Real Estate Auctions: 1.5 Stars

Bumped the rating because their team reached out which is more than you can say for most businesses.

Good experience. Brought a tractor from them was it perfect? No I didn’t expect it to be. I got it for the price I wanted to pay fixed what was wrong and I couldn’t be happier. Don’t blame the auction company for something you should have inspected. My advice if you are looking at tractors, dump trucks, backhoes etc. at a auction 8 out of 10 times something is wrong with it. If you can’t fix it don’t buy it
