I oversaw Mordue moving my mother, and the experience was the best moving company experience I've ever had. They were professional: up front about costs, on time, polite, understanding, accommodating. They packed all of her stuff and they packed it efficiently and well. They moved her piano with ease, and properly (as the son of pianists, I'm quite familiar with moving pianos). They called ahead. They were always on time. Their estimates for how long things would take were accurate.

On the day of the move, we had a cancellation on the receiving end from one of our friends who was going to help unpack. They rose to the occasion and got all of her stuff out of boxes -and- the paper and boxes out of her new apartment. For a fee, of course, but a *very* reasonable fee. It saved the day.

While they were unpacking things, we were deploying mom's stuff to her new apartment. They volunteered on more than one occasion to help us where it was needed.

The crew was fun, efficient, and lively. They were generous with their strengths and they took their job seriously and with pride.

The price was remarkably low for what we got.

From our initial meeting with Travis Collins to the final box unloaded by our team of Cory, Isaiah, Riley and Josh, our experience was simply exceptional. Their professionalism was on display during every interaction of the process. The moving team was friendly, hardworking, respectful and conscientious. Simply stated, they were an outstanding team! We had an amazing experience with them starting with Josh. He couldn’t have been nicer and was willing to work with us to make things easier for us. Our crew of Leo, Isaiah, and Riley did a great job. They were very careful moving things, always putting protection down and asking if there was anything else they could do for us. From getting a quote, to packing, loading and unloading everyone we worked with were both professional and friendly!! Willing to help in anyway they could. The actual movers (three of them) were considerate not only of the items being moved, but of the property as well. To deliver out things first thing and unload was at least a 14 hr day with driving. Highly recommend them to anyone.

Wow! These three guys were so professional and compassionate as they moved our mom’s valuables. She is no longer with us. They wrapped everything so well and took much care not to hit walls or doorways! We needed them to deliver to four different locations and they didnt mind or complain about anything. Always helpful and kind. Moved items to exact places in delivery homes. We highly recommend this company to move your precious belongings.

Don't ever think of using Mordue. It should actually be MOR ---DOESN'T. We got a "free quote" only to owe almost $1000 more after the move. The same people who loaded the truck did not unload the truck. We moved from Peoria, IL to Chicago, IL on 8/15/22. We were instructed to be at our new residence at 9:30. The movers showed up at 12:30 without calling or letting us know about a delay. One of the 3 movers left when they arrived. I had to call Mordue to have them send more people to unload the truck. I had packed and labeled 90% of all of the boxes. The word fragile means nothing to them. My safe was set on top of a box of glasses. They shattered a mirrored stand. They scratched 2 coffee tables, and 2 end tables. The broke one of our storage drawers off of our beds. They broke several dishes. One of the workers argued with us. We were trying to direct him where to put the boxes that were plainly marked. He decided to put them wherever he wanted. At the new residence, no carpet protection was put down and the carpets were stained. Our freezer was scratched on the side panel. The stairwell was scratched and black marks were left on the walls from the movers. Our kitchen table base was scratched and gouged in several places. The mover wanted to leave and left our master king size bed assembled wrong. He left 6 screws not screwed in and just put our mattress on top of them. After hiring a separate company in Chicago (Fixer), we found our mattress was torn on bottom from the screws.

The movers were packing up the truck to leave and we noticed that they forgot to unload pieces of our furniture. WE had to ask them to check the truck in order to assure that all of our belongings were actually unloaded.

And.......we moved on a Friday. The movers were not done unloading the truck and the office was calling for payment in full including the additional charge they tacked on. My recommendation is never give them money before they finish the job and finish it correctly. After they have your money , they lose interest in our satisfaction quickly.
Thank heavens we took out the insurance. The company that repaired everything (Associates Claim Service, INC) was great. They fixed the kitchen table stand, the coffee tables, the night stands, arranged to have the carpets cleaned and the walls painted. However, each time they came, it required we be at the house and work around schedules. It is now November 7 and we just now got most of the furniture repaired but still have not gotten any reimbursement for the items that could not be replaced.
Mordue provided us terrible experience. The scale above asks to rate our experience with 5 stars. Our experience was a minus 47!!!!! My recommendation is to look for a better company that will give you good service and care about your belongings.

The two young men were very professional and quick. I appreciate their attention to detail. My wife and I would recommend them anytime. Thank you for moving my mother in laws furniture.

Very clean and professional. Seamless move. All the workers were professional, respectful, and careful with all the furniture and were mindful not to run into and cause damage to the floors, doors and newly painted walls.
