Exactly what you are most likely looking for if you searched for a “deli” or a “Jewish Deli” 🙂🙂🙂 From the Matzo Ball soup to the many excellent desserts in the bakery section, and so much in between!!! I’m going to go again! I have been three times, so far 👍🏼💜

It used to be ok if you had a taste for Jewish food but didn’t want to drive to mannys in the city but now it’s really bad my husband brought us take out today the corned beef was so chewy i think it was old or microwaved! The potato pancakes wear just plain horrible I will post a picture of it , at the prices they charge they can put a little effort in giving you a decent meal, well last time I will be eating here

What a old school deli, they have been in business since 1986, almost 40 years. The place is a little dated but the bagels and deli meats are as good as ever.

I like that you can still get meats with some fats in them, that’s where the flavors are. Too lean and there’s not enough taste. I do wish their bagels are more denser and chewy too.
Don’t get me wrong, they are very good but not as good as some in NYC or LA area.

Stopped in for breakfast and so glad I did! The omelet was perfect and the potatoes as well! Next time I'm in town I will definitely be back to do some shopping on the deli/bakery side.

Beef in the Pot soup cost $2 less six years ago. It's deceptively massive nonetheless. Tip for those who order it: the meat and veggies could be at the bottom of the pot. If so, you'll be pleasantly surprised at how much of each there is. Instead of the supplied ladle, stir and scoop with a large spoon to readily access those ingredients.

The food and atmosphere are good and the service about the same since we never got coffee refills. I like nearby Once Upon A Grill for flavor but M&B's has better seating and parking and prices, even if they are raised from years ago.

MAX AND BENNY'S is an excellent American deli with an East Coast bent. Noisy and joyful, this is a respectful tribute to New York City's Jewish gastronomic traditions.

Service, except at the busiest times, is quick and efficient.

The expansive menu offers a comprehensive selection of Jewish delicatessen, The excellent bakery's selection is both unique and delicious. The waiters are old school. They know the menu and willingly offer helpful suggestions.

When stepping from the cafe into the "Take-A-way" deli, take a few moments to view the clever and unique cookie jar collection.

Note:
We find our way to Max and Benny's each time we visit Chicago's northwest suburbs. Our family loves the place. Being a vegan, I observe their joy as they devour bowls of chicken soup (with matzo balls) and corned beef sandwiches. My fresh-baked rye bread, vegetable sandwich is large and delicious.

0f course, carry-outs are offered. (How can you stop at a deli and not bring something home?)

Lots of free parking. Everything is ADA compatible.

Just love this Bakery, Deli, and Restaurant. The food is more than plentiful for the fair price.

Toni was a sweetheart to us and our daughter....patient as we worked through the menu to make selections, and attentive when we needed something.

Our party enjoyed the Chicken Noodle Soup, Honey Turkey Sandwich, Door County Chicken Salad, and Chicken Gyro Wrap. The half soup and sandwich is more than enough for a meal with some to take home.

We also enjoyed the fries (Regular, Sweet Potato, and Curley). All three were unique and you cannot go wrong with either selection. The Coleslaw is outstanding!

Looking forward to our next visit.

Outstanding bagels! Best egg and pumpernickel bagels you will ever have. Great service and delicious desserts. This is my go to place every month and I stock up and freeze my bagels. You will never buy garbage store bought again. You can taste the quality of real ingredients.
