Mavericks Pizza - Manteca, California

We've tried several pizza places in Manteca and haven't found one we truly loved...until we tried Mavericks! We tried a mini combo pizza meal and loved it, so two days later we ordered a large pepperoni and a Hawaiian pizza for the family and it was awesome! Fresh ingredients, they use good mozzarella, just the right amount of sauce and crust was delicious. So far it is the best pizza we have tried in Manteca and will order again! Delivery only available after 4pm and prices are reasonable especially compared to what is available in Manteca. Place is small but was easy to find. I don't know if this place is new because I haven't heard people mention it, but we are so glad we found it and tried!

Update: we love it so much we've had it three times in last week and a half!

First time trying Maverick's Pizza. I had seen some good Yelp reviews and decided to give it a try. We ordered a large specialty pizza (16 inches) half pepperoni half Mav's Hawaiian. We also ordered the rib tips with bbq sauce on the side. The pizza was very good. The pepperoni side was considerably more greasy than the Hawaiian, so it wasn't as crispy. Next time I would probably ask them to transfer the pizza a few times to get rid of the excess grease. The rib tips were very meaty and cooked well, a great deal for $7.50. They have a lot of different sides, including mozzarella sticks, meatballs, and cheesy bread. It is a very small parlor with only a few tables, so I would opt for takeout unless you are popping in by yourself for a quick meal. The girl helping the counter was very nice, and our pizza came out very quickly. I will definitely be back to try some different pizzas and sides!

BEST pizza spot in Manteca hands down.

The pizza was amazing and we also tried the Churro Donuts with chocolate dip, which I thought was kind of a weird combination.
I was wrong, it was too good 🤤

Highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed

Mavericks, your Family Dinner special is too good a value for the price. Please raise your prices or cut back on the sides, salads and deserts so you can give yourselves an annual raise! LOL seriously this place found the sweet spot for a neighborhood pizzeria: they don't stock bad products to push up profit margins, instead they leverage careful preparation and good taste to make the most of a product that everyone knows doesn't cost a lot to make well. I have to believe Mavericks are literally passing the savings on to us, a part of Manteca famished for decent pizza. They have homemade Christmas decorations in the dining room, with adorable felt chair covers and poinsettia flower-patterned oilcloth table and counter covers, absolutely charming! Meatballs are great and the churro donuts were an unexpected sensation. Please stay on Louise Ave forever!

I feel like one of the best tests of any establishment's customer service is to see how they respond when things are not perfect. We picked up a pizza, and once we opened it, we realized it was not the one we ordered. After a quick call, they not only took care of the situation but also went above and beyond to make it right. Best spot ive found in town. Pizza was great, the pork rib tips were amazing, and the cheese bread was really good too. Disapppointed with the wings but everything else was amazing. Defonitely going back

Not a traditional calzone because cheese on top but still a good pizza. Pizza sauce on the side for dipping was not acidic. Very well done. I will be back for more. 2nd visit for garlic chicken pizza was excellent. Great tasting pizza. The whole roasted garlic was sweet. Chicken, bacon mushroom garnished with spinach was great.
