Can't find a reason to criticise this place! Clean, well stocked, well laid out and with friendly, helpful staff. Good opening hours too, especially for a visiting Brit. The literal icing on the cake was the bakery section. The selection of British chocolate followed by cakes that should probably be illegal left my sweet-toothed self in sugar heaven!

I think the issue with employees’ friendliness is that they are understaffed. I often hear the employees talking about how to cover shifts. This is on corporate. Pay the employees better. Allow them to work more hours even if it means they then qualify for benefits. Otherwise the store is fine. It is clean. It’s well stocked. I have bought expired items at every store.. Focusing on the staffing would correct the issues

Check, check, and recheck your expiration dates. The last three times I went, I pulled something expired off the shelf (English muffins, yogurt, and just this week imitation crab meat). They need to do a better job with their quality control. They also never have hand baskets or the smaller carts, which leaves me feeling awkward when I only need to get a few things and have to use a giant cart. This is the closest grocery story to my home but it may be worth it to start going a little farther to Safeway.

This is the worst Luckys ever. The employees are horrible no ppl skills what so ever and then the cashier no hi no nothing but thank goodness for the bagger he was amazing ! Ppl skills are amazing ?he needs to be working at the Luckys on Portola ! By the yogurt section it stunk so bad beyond disgusting then I realized it was the fish department. Absolutely gross ? I will never shop there ever again. What a sad experience ? I noticed that the manager only comments on the the so called good reviews ?‍♀️

Always a great experience, the best grocery in town. Produce is generally fresh, baked bread is awesome and the employees are friendly. Been shopping here for 20 years now.

The cashiers don't have to be overly friendly, I understand its a job not everyone is thrilled to do. But come on, how about just a little courtesy? And not taking it out on the customers.
