These folks are super nice! We’re from out of town with little knowledge of the area and they answered all of our questions about fishing the local river system.
The selection is not large as far as fly fishing goes but they have just what you need.

The shop pups are an added bonus!

We’ll be back if we come up this way in the future.

Great place. Maintains the old school sportsman's store service and atmosphere while stocking a great selection of traditional and modern goods. The owner, Ted, is almost always behind the counter and takes service and his reputation seriously.

GREAT selection of fishing gear that changes with the season, GREAT local knowledge on fishing spots. I'm not a bowhunter, but it looks to me like there's a pretty good assortment of bow/crossbow gear. Also has an eclectic mix of guns - you never know what's going to show up in the case or on the rack.

Very fair prices on everything, and Ted does a great job of keeping ammo stocked.

I have no real complaints. A decent selection and fair prices. But I feel like I need to rush when I go in there. I prefer friendlier service, but they're always polite and professional. Very knowledgeable and honest.

Store is nicely set up with a wide variety of outdoor items, from firearms and camping items, to all things fishing, hunting, even cool gifts and clothing. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff and if you're lucky, you'll get to meet Birch, the dog on staff.

Owner has managed gun depts for other stores in area, now has his own establishment. Prices good, staff friendly and knowledgeable not only about stock/gear but about local hunting/fishing/shooting and happy to answer questions. Recommended!

We accidentally stumbled across Lead & Tackle a few months ago and we're customers for life. Ted has now cleaned and repaired three family rifles for us and they're all in the best working condition they've ever been in now. Ted and his family are super friendly, very knowledgeable, and just down-to-earth good people. We regularly make the 40 minute drive to support their business over closer options that are less friendly and knowledgeable.
Also, Ted makes great dining recommendations if you're looking for a bite to eat in Lyndonville - he won't steer you wrong.
