This was our fourth trip to Alaska. We have been on some amazing tours, and this is definitely another one! I felt completely safe flying out to Fraser Lake with Kyle as our pilot. There were 3 seniors on this trip, and he was considerate of us as we hiked and got on and off the plane. The day was sunny and clear so we flew over the mountains. Everyone should fly over Kodiak Island - so beautiful! We spent two hours watching brown bears sows, cubs, and males fishing, fighting, and hanging out. I got to take many wonderful photos. It was spectacular watching these magnificent animals just being bears!

Hands down the BEST part of our visit to Kodiak! Brothers Kyle & Glen have a safe and friendly air service to fish, view bears or get around the island. Were planning to visit Katmai, but with the weather we needed to move back a day and went to Frazer lake instead - the views and bears were what made this a must-do experience. Easy access right in the middle of Kodiak - they will even pick you up from your hotel! As a professional pilot myself, Glen was very safe and great to my family and 3-yr old. Was such a smooth and great flight, I’ll definitely come back for another trip with them!

Outstanding tour to Frazier Lake. We were privileged to view over 20 bears! I do not care to fly in small planes but Kyle's narrative throughout the ride made the flight seem only a few minutes long and pleasant. You will be in good hands with Kyle and Glenn.

I had an amazing experience going on a bear viewing tour from Kodiak to Katmai National Park with pilot Kyle! The views of mountains, aquamarine bays, and Kodiak's alpine during the flight were incredible. We spent almost two hours at Geographic Harbor in Katmai watching bears fish, play, and nap. Kyle respected the bears' boundaries and made sure we did but also knew enough about their "small personal bubbles" during salmon season, allowing us to get pretty close. A few bears walked within 20 yards of our group of their own volition. It was amazing! Kyle and his wife Teri were both very kind and professional. Everything seemed safe and well-organized. I definitely recommend flying with Kingfisher Aviation!

An excellent bear viewing and flightseeing trip!

The 4 hour tour on July 3 ended up being a bit longer due in part to a late arrival of another sow with 3 cubs. It was early in the bear viewing season since the salmon run got heavy just a few days ago. Still, we had one bear resting on shore when we arrived. Then a sow and 3 cubs (second summer with Mom) entered the feeding area 20 feet from us, below the viewing knoll. They fed for an hour or more, then grouped together for a nap. Another bear appeared briefly in the bushes.  A bit later another sow and 3 cubs were spotted running in the distance, and finally appeared along the river heading for us. After 15 minutes or so we headed back to the plane. A good 2-3 hours of bear viewing I think. The rest of the time was the walk between the viewing area and the plane, and the scenic flights between Frazier Lake and Kodiak.

Pilot Kyle was amazing! He took us on a last minute flight to see whales and parts of Kodiak. He had an afternoon off and was willing to take us last minute to experience flying in a seaplane. My 11 year old son absolutely loved the experience and can't stop talking about it!

Worth every penny and then some! Just the flight would be worth it but add in the up close encounters with bears, Kyle's knowledge and enthusiasm and it is hard to put a price on this experience. Kyle and Teri at Kingfisher are top notch!

My wife and I had an amazing experience with Kingfisher. Ryan was kind, informative, and most importantly, an excellent pilot. The ride was smooth and we saw plenty of bears, an Orca, and a fin whale. We would definitely do a bear tour with Kingfisher again!
