Yes I’ve read the reviews before I’ve checked them out and learned for myself. I’ve stopped and got dinner which was the 6 wings dinner with cabbage and yams. The food was actually good. The service was good, the food was hot and fresh. Everything was seasoned. The cabbage was flavorful and the yams was good and sweet. The chicken was grilled well done. So, for my experience, they were decent. Plus the prices were reasonable.

Do not get food from this place. I stopped in for lunch. Didn’t notice all the restrictions and highlighted pointed out by the register with detail about checking your order prior to leaving because I didn’t anticipate any issues. My chicken was not fully cooked. My chicken breast was oozing blood when I flipped it over from laying on top of the bed of red beans and rice. I returned to the store for a replacement. Manager only agreed to replace the chicken and not the rice which the bloody chicken was laying on. Also they denied me a refund. While I was waiting for my replacement I noticed that they microwave and reheat their food. It is not cooked onsite. If you are looking for freshly well cooked and prepared food STAY AWAY.

Delish, Fresh, Authentic Caribbean grub. This was ordered via a take out app. I arrived 10 min early, order was ready as I picked it up. Order was accurate, portions were good for the price, and the food was really delish! This is my 2nd time enjoying their yummy grub.
My lunch order w/ pics below was $21 & it was enough for 3 meals (for me).
Jerk Chicken (white meat), peas & rice, side of macaroni, small side of Cabbage & Candied Yams. Highly recommend.
The staff were attentive & friendly.
There are a few high top tables inside but it’s more of a take out or eat on the go type of joint. I’ll definitely order again & again.
💫 Pro Tip: if you order through an online app, best to call the restaurant & make sure they recv’d your order. There is some disconnect with regard to the app & them receiving the order.

First I will start with the presentation of my food looked great and it smelled great. I ordered curry goat side of Mac n cheese and yams. The sides were not flavorful they needed seasoning the yams didn’t have the sweet taste just very dry. Now my goat started off tasting good a little salty but manageable thought it was the best thing on the plate and the only think i was going to eat. As I was eating I found a nice size piece of plastic mixed in with my goat meat. I immediately message DoorDash asking for 100% refund and tossed the food in the trash because my meat was cooked with plastic. This is beyond dangerous plastic can make you very sick if ingested and can lead to cancers. When i called the restaurant to let them know I’m not sure what I expecting but the response I was given was unacceptable and put a bad taste in my mouth. The lady who answered stated that “maybe it was the plastic the goat came in and said sorry that happen to you” and that was end of the conversation. She sounded very nonchalant like it wasn’t a big deal. After she stated that that also let me know that the meat is not being properly cleaned before cooking which is also VERY dangerous and can make you extremely sick. I will NEVER eat here again I will NEVER recommend this restaurant to friends or family because this is just completely unsanitary.

Let me just start off saying That I am an extreme jerk food fanatic!! And this is by far the best I’ve tasted in the south suburbs. I usually travel to the city to go to Jerk 48 or Jerk Villa and Jerk choice is standing right with them on the flavor side.. The portions are well worth your money. I was unsure of what I wanted and she was nice enough to let me try a few samples of different things. I appreciate that blessings on your business. I will be back.

Just drove 30 minutes to the store to pickup an order placed ahead for a scheduled pickup time and was turned away without my order because the chef left? The order was placed well before the pickup time, so it was confusing that there wasn’t any portion of my order prepared. The cashier proceeded to give another customer a bag of food… also confusing.

Very unprofessional and upsetting considering I placed this order to bring for a family dinner. I loved their food when I had it before, but it’s hard to trust them after this experience. There was no attempt to accommodate or offer something for the inconvenience and the cashier wasn’t friendly.

As I left, multiple customers came in with the same issue, coming to pickup orders placed over an hour ago.

Ever since Winston's in Country Club Hills closed I have been trying to find Jamaican food that comes close to Winston's. Today I tried this place and it was as good some things even better. Food was top tier. Chicken was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The jerk sauce was good and actually had a hint of spice. The oxtails were seasoned well, cooked well, meaty and fatty which in the case was good because the fat acted as butter and made the oxtails more fall of the bone. I'll definitely be coming back.
