A great place to stop if you are in need of wood/ice for your stay at Starved Rock State Park! Cash only but great deal for wood and ice. The wood was very dry and chopped to a great size that was easy to get a fire going. Also, Jack is super sweet and gave me recommendations for hikes. The store also has a lot of essential camping items available in case you forgot something and don’t want to drive back into town.

Jacks camp store is a must stop before entering the Starved Rock camp grounds. I needed wood for my camp fire and I'm glad I stopped here. A wagon full of fire wood (18 pieces) was $20. The campground has wood for sale $9 for 6 pieces. They also have other items for sale aswell and it was a pleasure meeting the owners.

Wood was really good quality, very dry. It’s just a simple store near the camp ground that has a small selection of items that are helpful.

If we go back to the campground we will stop here first for wood. $20 for a cart of wood is better than the $9 for 5 pieces of wet junk from the camp ground.

Why havnt u boughts jacks firwood yet?
Icr been going there for 4 years now and will never go anywhere else for wood for starved rock. Graet place to buy any forgotn camling needs or emergencies! Thanks again!

I've been to this place several times over the past years. This is the perfect place to pick up everything you need to get your campfire going and grab anything that you may have forgotten to pack for camping. The store is just part of a converted residential garage behind a house, so just follow the signs and bear that in mind when looking for this place.

This is the perfect shop for ice, firewood, and anything you forgot. There's a little food, camping basics, meds, and menstrual supplies. Open very early (we were there at 8:30am) and friendly staff that can give you directions.

Excellent space friendly and kind staff very nice to stop in pick up stuff you may have forgotten like we did and have a little chat while you're at it! Beats any gas station price on firewood
