We were traveling on our way back to Minnesota. This place was just across from our hotel, so we decided to give it a try! We loved everything about it! The bartender/server was so nice and helpful with the menu. They were very busy, so we were patient with our food order, but it was so worth the wait. I had the Italian beef french dip that was amazing! My husband had the pizza slices... very yummy! If we are ever back in this area, we will stop back. Top notch food +

I have not had lousy pizza on this side of town. It's tasty, and the drinks are spot on even after l got hit in the head by a crazy woman off the street inside. 🤣

It's definitely a local place full of spirits and friendly staff. If in town, make sure to support local and enjoy some delicious pizza.

2 waitstaff and 2 chefs took on a slammed weekend with the IL Music Education Conference. Place was packed— they were attentive, calm, friendly and fast. I sat at the bar and had a slice of pizza— made to order with any toppings— and had RC on fountain! Inviting and the pizza was great. Went 2 times in 3 days!

In town for a work trip
Hoops was recommended by our hotel staff, glad we went to check it out. Once we went into the restaurant, we were immediately welcomed by Steven. He offered us drinks, provided then menu and told us about the daily special. Steven and the other employees on duty were very friendly and attentive. Made recommendations, and always made sure we were good. The service was perfect, the food was amazing. The overall price wasn't bad either. I will say this, the slice pizza special was a good choice. Big portions, and flavor was unmatched Seeing them make the pizza to order using fresh ingredients made the choice to stop by even better. Also, the Ranch is the best in the state. Spend that extra $1 for it.

If I were local, I'd make Hoops my regular spot. Next time im in town I'll definitely be coming back i don't think 5 stars does the restaurant justice. If 10 stars or more were an option I'd give it to them.

This place kept all of my change after I paid for my meal and didn’t offer to give it back. It would have been nice to get my money back. My pizza was over charged and the menu lies about the prices. The waiter acts like customers are the worst thing in the world. Hoops feels grimy right when you enter in and makes you want to leave as soon as possible.

Best slices in town, period! Can't go wrong with any of the specialty slices. Great appetizers as well. The spicy mustard for the pigs in a blanket is delicious and has a bit of a kick! And don't forget about the Tator Kegs... A must for the wife and I either before or after Rivermen games. The Wednesday buy one get one special is one heck of a deal as well.

You could drop this pizza face down on the sidewalk, put it back in the box, and it would still be the best pizza in 400 miles. We were astonished by the value at $30 for a 19" pizza. We have 6 more days in the hospital and we're probably eating at Hoops for the next 6 days.

Still the best pizza around. Been that way since the 90s. Eating it after a night of drinking WAY too much, was the best. They charge a cover after midnight, but the pizza is still worth it! Best sauce, crust and cheese combo around.
