This storage lot is made up of 8x20 and smaller cargo boxes. The lot is kept clean and orderly. The cargo boxes are easily accessed. The prices are exactly in line with prevailing rates of other storage facilities in the area.

Unlike other storage places in the Bishop area, the cargo boxes close to seal up air tight and water tight. This keep out all the dust generated from local area windstorms. I have two other storage units at other locations near Bishop and my stuff is caked in dust that got in under the doors. But my stuff at High Sierra containers is dust free!

The owner, Curt Van Nest, literally saved my life. I had a stroke when I was having a Used Gear yard-sale on a lot on Hwy 395 on the Paiute Reservation. I couldn't move or talk for months. Curt didn't even know me, and donated a cargo box for Miguel Perez and Paiute Elder Darius, who I also didn't know, to move my stuff into. Curt let me keep my stuf there without charge for a year and a half. I couldn't move or talk from the stroke, and thought these three guys stole all my stuff, especially as I never paid any rent or anything to Curt.

I was surprised when Curt called me after a few months to check up on me. Curt told me they saved all my stuff, and not to worry about paying for storage until I was literally back up on my feet. 18 months later, I picked up my stuff and used it to start up Bishop Used Gear, which is now a thriving business. Curt insisted that I not pay him anything, but instead to pass on his good deed to others.

Curt's brother, Christopher, and wife, Kelly, are just like Curt, and all their kids were raised to be just like Curt and Kelly.

If they ever do a rewrite on the Bible, Curt Van Nest will be the Good Samaritan!
