We have a Hayward Hydropure Ozone UV Generator installed.
Just after a little more than a year of use, all lamp bulbs went.
Warranty refused as limited by 1 year. To make matters worse
replacement bulbs for the Ozone are on "back order" in Vancouver BC. Pretty poor performance both, in terms of the equipment as well as customer service

Hello! Was shopping around for 3" pop-up floor cleaner replacements for in-ground pool and found Hayward. Was put in contact with Customer Service Specialist, Cherise to find the best match to my existing pop-ups and happy with the new products! (...and NO, I'm not being paid for this review...lol)

I needed to replace a defective saltwater pool chlorinator that only lasted less than 2 years. I called Hayward up, and they were obnoxious and useless, told me to go on there website to find a dealer and use them. Half of the dealers listed we're not even in business. My experience with Hayward over the past 15 years has never been good. A really suck company.

Just called tech support because trying to figure out how to change heat pump from cooling to heating. Because no manual with this unit and many others have same issues no manual.
Response is someone will call you back 5-10 days , really just would take 2-3 minutes to walk me through 😳🤬🤯 everything is Hayward products in pool. As things wear out will go to competitor . We have gas heater, heat pump chiller, big filter system , 2 pump, Lighting system

We had a salt cell and warranty was for 4 years. It completely stopped within 16 months. It’s heck of a task to get hold of their customer service. Their people were absolute useless and clueless. We talked to 5-7 different people and everyone was just trying to put blame on something and trying to avoid warranty. Customer service is just opposite of what we get at good companies like Costco. Hayward company is an absolute crook. There is no way I’m going to buy their products in future.

SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE AND BUY PENTAIR PRODUCTS. Worst experience ever from one of their certified vendors. None of the equipment works that they installed. Approved vendor doesn’t return calls, emails, texts. Hayward only protecting their vendor and will not help. Solution for them is for us to call the vendor because they don’t want to be the middle man. Same vendor who took our money and ghosted us. Hope this review can help some people on the fence between Hayward or PENTAIR for their pool.

My pool remote stopped working, showed not connecting to base station. I called 4 times and each time was told I would receive email instructions to reset it. It has been almost a month and I have never received anything. Hayward customer support is horrific and tech support is non-existent. I will never buy anything Hayward related.
