The Grand Canyon is a giant hole in the ground. It's beautiful. The village area is cute and quite. Worth a drive of 4 hours from Las Vegas. Saw elk and had to take pictures. We came here while there was snow but it was still awesome. It was $35.00 just to visit however since the government was shutdown it was free. Was a bit cold, if you are a tourist and you are from the North with a lot of snow and don't expect snow at the grand canyon, maybe expect it. It was a lot of fun please take a day to go here. There is also a lodge to stay in.

What can I say? It's the Grand Canyon!! The Bright Angel trail is a must. Just remember you are hiking into negative elevation, so save your energy for the incline hike out. Beautiful views with a rest station about 2.5 miles in. Great geological experience and the Southwest at its apex. If you go in the off-season, you'll get the chance to see it with snow and some caribou. Moose are always a chance as well. Have fun!!
