I ordered a vegan pizza to go, and then sat at the bar with my wife while it was being made. Ordered a Jack and Coke, and my wife had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. The owner came and talked to us for a while and it was really great conversation. She mentioned that they may add a hand-stretched option for the pizza dough, which I would definitely recommend trying if they end up offering it. I really liked everything about the place, warm and inviting, really clean and slightly eclectic. I felt right at home.
By the by, when I got around to eating the pizza about an hour after leaving, it was still warm and really delicious. Nothing compares to a pizza cooked in a coal-fired oven. ❤️

We visited on a Thursday around noon time for lunch after visiting the southwest virginia museum historic state park. There were maybe 2 or 3 other groups of people while we were there waiting for take out. There was plenty of parking outside.

The atmosphere was very welcoming, and the 3 staff we interacted with were super pleasant to talk to and very helpful. The restaurant interior was decivingly small from the outside but huge on the inside. There was an area for live music in the back but no one was playing when we visited. There were a couple of claw machines at the front, along with a ton of plants and a guestbook to sign. They also seemed to have some local artisan items for sale, like prints and earrings. My wife did pick a few earrings up.

There were 5 of us, and we ordered the monthly special Thanksgiving Pizza. We were all super skeptical but wanted to try it. Everyone said it's exactly what you think it would taste like and amazing. We also ordered the chicken bacon ranch sub and cheesesteak sandwich to share. One kid said cheesesteak was better and other said chicken bacon ranch sub. I'd say both are a win. Wife wanted salad and order the chef salad, I believe, and it was a great portion for the price and freshly made and delicious. Our youngest kid, who is 9 and not very adventurous, got a kids meal cheese pizza and ate all of it.

The online ordering was having issues accepting our payment, but we were so close anyways we just walked in and got it taken care of. The food took maybe 15-20 mins, but you knew it was all being made fresh in their open kitchen. We all thought the food was great and for the price had good value. We would definitely stop by again if we were in town.

Always come here when I’m in town—having a pizza and beer on the patio is one of my favorite things to do in the warm weather, especially after a run on The Greenbelt.

My go-to is pizza with red sauce, banana peppers, and cherry tomatoes. They always have solid draft list too.

Friendly service and entirely family-run. Live music on weekends. Not many pizza options in the area, but this is by far the best one (the other options fall into the Pizza Hut/Dominoes realm).

Big fan of the interior, too. Actually somewhat rustic (lots of woods).

The best pizza I have ever had. I love this place. Pictures is a half size farmhouse pizza and half size cheese stick. Their pepperoni pizza is really good also. The restaurant is a nice environment with an old time feel. It is clean and well kept.

All I can say is absolutely fantastic service and food. Do not go in expecting anything to be cheap or low quality, and spending upwards of thirty dollars if you have more than one person even if only two. Half pizzas are literally half of a very large pizza and worth every Penny. They do not make Boring cardboard pizza every pizza is unique and different, and lives up to the name of artisan. The only complaint I have is that the main seating area had very hard chairs for how long our food took and we took to eat them. Would have greatly appreciated even the cheapest of cushions.

They were able to accommodate our party of 30+ and did it with smiles. Really good pizzas, garlic rolls, and cheese sticks. I especially enjoyed the Hawaiian BBQ pie. The price was definitely reasonable. Coal fired done well.
