After a month driving for this company I think I can comment. First, I'm a lease operator for 4 Ways Cargo. They are based in the Chicago area and are owned by eastern Europeans. I know right off the bat it'll make you cringe BUT they are the best company in the Chicago area. They really do work with drivers in any way possible from home time to get the best loads.
I follow along with them on rates to see if they were pretty close to accurate. Believe it or not they are. If not actually better.
I worked many companies in my 25+ years and I can't still believe they are in my opinion top 3 companies I have ever driven for.
My dispatcher (Steven) is becoming not only my dispatcher but a friend. He listens to my concerns and will fix anything he has the power to if he can't. If he can't he'll reach out to someone who will.
That's my honest opinion about 4 Ways Cargo in the month I been here. Looking forward to the future to see what else in store for me with this company

So, I'm not going to candy coat this. I was told about the company by a friend, I looked into it and it sounded pretty good. When I made the move everyone was very friendly and professional, answering all my questions, I thought "this is great". It's definitely not. They lied about everything. First they said "you'll make $1500 to $2000 a week and only have to run 3 load to get it". They say the camera in the truck faces outward and doesn't record audio. They say you can get fuel anywhere, but if you use pilot you get a $0.25 discount. They say first week is no truck payment (1100 a week btw). Awesome, let's do this. When I finally get my truck (wasn't given a choice like I was told I would have) I do my pretrip and notice it's leaking oil. I'm still in the parking lot and call them to let them know and I'm told "it's ok, we just did an oil change" and I need to hurry up and pick up my first load or I'll be late. Keep in mind I explained this is my first time driving refer unit and don't know how to operate that. So I hurry down the road and stop for fuel since the new truck I was given was empty. Made it to my pickup late, get charged $200 and the entire time I have brokers calling me for my ETA. Finally got loaded, I'm still excited because I'm going to make some money. Remember that oil leak? Well I made it to Indiana when my dash lights up like a Xmas tree. Stop at the nearest rest area and they ask me if I can drive another 47 miles to love's with 17 psi oil pressure. Nope. They tow the truck and I get put in a hotel. Apparently someone forgot to tighten down the oil filter, so now I get to sit for the next two weeks not earning anything. To be fair the company did send me $150 after the first week so I could get some food. Finally my truck is fixed, let's FN go. Grab my first load and run, ask to get by the house so I can grab my gear. No problem. Ran the next 3 weeks on recap, trying to keep the wheels turning and make up for the 2 weeks of nothing. My first check was $1000 because they forgot they we not taking the truck payment, so they fixed it and I got $1800. Second check, $900. Already we're going the wrong way. Third check, $500. Houston, we have a problem. I decided to go home and come back fresh to give it another go. Keep in mind, the entire time I've got everyone asking me for my ETA even though they insist you install 7 different tracking apps on your phone. So, fully charged, let's do this. 4th check, $500. Wtf. Maybe it's because home time. 5th check $500. Alright, I'm seeing a pattern I don't like. 6th check I've decided I'm done, but I still need money. I bust my ass to make a $1500 check and tell them I'm going to unload my stuff and bring them the truck. They say if I bring a load back that way, they'll pay for my ticket home. I agree. Run my last load, bring them the truck, I noticed I still don't have my settlement sheet for the week, that's weird. Shake hands and part ways, get on my train that they paid for, finally got my settlement that says I now owe them $600 for truck payments while it was broken down. Long story short (to late I know) avoid this cracked ass company at all costs. Possible lawsuit pending. If you want any more information, reach out to me and I'll show you exactly what I'm saying.

This is an excellent company to work for. No lie, from the beginning process all the way through. This job is not for everyone. There are bad drivers just like there are bad companies. You get out of it what you put in. If you work hard and are smart about running your business, this company has all the tools and support to make you successful. It's a team and frankly everyone from dispatcher maintenance to the owners, are all very professional and they treat your time as valuable as their own. If you want to be a boss, you got to act like a boss and perform like a boss. The owner is a boss and he has an exceptional team. Thank you for the opportunity!

Working here is great they work with you and make sure you get great rates based on where you like to go. The owner is a very reasonable person and is down to earth.
Update: my wife had cancer so I had to be home a little bit to take care of her and to which I told them I was ready to go on the road, however when I got a load they had it going to Chicago which is normal because they usually have good loads coming out so I didn't think anything of it. When I delivered however they asked me to come to the yard and when I did they let me go without warning saying they terminated my contract now I usually have my dogs with me so when I asked how to get home they said only a rental car would be my way home. As you know rental places only take credit cards when you go unless it's on a corporate credit card that's already been paid for or you have to have your credit card in hand and it has to be a major credit card which I think is silly by the way however I told them this and the response was they will not pay for it through their credit card and I said that is the only way so they made me a reservation and got me an Uber to the airport to which I thought maybe they had already paid for it on the corporate credit card and I was going to have that taken out of my last check which loan to hold when I got there the reservation was made but it was not paid for and I told them I did not have a credit card before they made the reservation so the only way would be for them to pay for it and take it out of my check and the sad part was when I got there it was already past 4:00 and that's when they close and no one is there to help me so basically I was left stranded and my wife who had just had surgery the week prior had to come and get me from South Carolina which is a 13 and 1/2 hour drive the only thing they did to help me was give me $200 to help me with expenses on the rental car but like I said can't get a rental car unless it's paid for by a corporate credit card or if I had a credit card in hand which I told them I did not have so at the end of the day I was left-stranded with little money no help from after hours dispatch which when I called they said they couldn't do anything for me.

After many many years of shipping with Four Way Cargo they continue to pick and deliver on time with each of my shipments. Whether it be east coast or the midwest they come thru every time on time. Mike and the whole dispatch team has far exceeded my expectation as 1 of my trucking companies. AGL brokers will continue forever using them as a trusted carrier!!

Ive been in the trucking industry for 10 years.
Now why are you charging drivers to fix your trailer? I thought they were leasing a truck not the trailer that's the companies responsibility. Also, I find that if the company can't get you to California then it's not a real trucking company and your lease will fail without running all 48 states.
You see only a fool would sign with these immigrants and they wonder why we vote for trump!

The company made promises that they couldn’t keep. They were only about lining their pockets not one single concern for their hard working drivers. Then after you quit because you can’t cover your basic necessities working for them and post honest reviews they start trying to get you to change your review and start making threats. As far as I am concerned I would not have given any stars but google doesn’t have that option.
