The person doing the estimate was outstanding. The actual movers, super great. Professionals. Nothing really broken.

The business office in charge of sending to me my refund, HORRIBLE! No sense of customer service or care. Took weeks, and a lot of emailing and texting, to get my check. Very frustrating. I just do not understand how an organization can stay in business with that level of disregard of service.

Second Update: I was able to get in contact with the general manager again and this time he was able to ensure the review of our claim did not get held up anymore. Additionally, we are satisfied with the ultimate resolution of the claim. It seems they were waiting on an assessment of the damages which is understandable, but I would hope this prompts them to follow-up with said company for the report after a week or two delay (not let it stay dormant for months). Overall, would still be cautious about moving your items but hopefully the claim process is better managed in the future.

Update: I received a call from the general manager who assured me they would look into it. Now months have gone by with no follow. I cannot stress enough to avoid this company as they seem to make it a practice to just ignore any settlement conversation regarding missing and damaged goods.

AVOID!

Packers are contracted out and as such you never know the quality you will get. As such, the packer's agenda is to do it as quickly as possible without much care. Many of our items arrived damaged including our couch, chairs, and framed art. A whole rug even went missing. There was every rat droppings everywhere and apparently that is not covered by the insurance...

To add insult to injury, their claims division has made no attempt to reach out despite multiple calls.

In summary, they don't pack your items with an ounce of care, they will misplace and damage items in storage, and finally they make no attempt to honor their insurance plans and settlement agreements.

I had a terrible experience, Federal Warehouse/Allied International managed my move from Peoria (IL) to Italy for a job relocation.
The moving crew that was sent to my apartment had total lack of professionality: the movers were not wearing masks, they used my restroom, they were 7 people packing and moving stuff in & out of my apartment, making me impossible to follow what they were doing. For some items they used dirty blankets instead of plastic wrap and carton boxes. The result of all this is that 18 items resulted to be damaged at the delivery and 1 item missing, a Yamaha saxophone that the insurance didn't reimbursed because was not explicitly listed in the shipping doc, which I suspect has been done in purpose by a member of the crew in order to stole it. I don't have proof of that but I know I use to have a saxophone that I don't have anymore and none one will pay for that. Totally disappointed, I strongly suggest you to change moving company. Terrible, terrible.

The guys at Federal were timely, efficient and professional. We just had a small office move across town but they treated us like we were a big job. Very reasonably priced and excellent service.

Rick and Kristina were top-notch with communicating the processes and changes in any items that I decided not to take. I would especially like to thank Kristina for working hard to schedule the moving dates to work for my situation. The movers were on-time, courteous, and professional. I only lost one minor item and had a single damaged item. I call that almost a miracle considering the heat the movers had to work through. They also took exceptional care in moving our piano as well. Thank you again, Kristina!!!

They delivered a kitchen appliance set ordered through Home Depot, and we had asked and paid for both delivery and installation. Before even arriving, the delivery team called and said they would likely not be able to install multiple items, even though the requirements given by Home Depot were met for all but one appliance. Upon arriving, they found features with each appliance that conflicted with their requirements for installation, and ultimately did not install anything. We were later told this was our fault for buying the appliances via the Home Depot website. The highlight of their refusals occurred with the dishwasher, with the explanation that our connection for the machine’s drain tube did not meet their requirements (according to them, dishwashers need to drain into a low level pipe because they do not actively pump out water), and because the opening for this new tube was way too big to fit on our connection. Upon opening the dishwasher we found that the opening was identical to the one for our previous dishwasher, and the instructions that came with the machine specified a plumbing setup identical to ours. It was clear that they have a cookie cutter template for installation, and if there is any deviation from the template they will not fulfill the service.

They left the dishwasher in the garage and we asked if they could at least bring it upstairs into the kitchen for us to handle. They said yes, then hurried outside and drove off, ignoring me when I came outside and tried to get their attention. We subsequently found that part of the dishwasher had been broken. Finally, they scratched up multiple walls and the floor while moving things.
