To Jackie O. & the rest of my team on February 14, 2024:
I had my 5th baby here & we chose the name Michael for our baby boy. During all four births, the teams were amazing, but my 5th labor was different. The amount of care I received from Jackie was unlike anything I've ever received before. Jackie truly was the most caring nurse I've ever had, and she gave me an experience I will forever be grateful for, for a lifetime. I just want to thank her for giving me such an amazing experience. I wish I could post a photo here to show how much she cares about her patients because words can't describe that.
No other nurse I've ever had showed up for me the way Jackie did. This labor was one of the hardest I've ever endured. She helped me breathe through each contraction and was so empathetic during the pain I endured. She was running around like a chicken with her head cut off trying to make sure I had puke bags, water, medication, and had to change my pee pad a million times because every time I threw up, I peed all over myself. Instead of giving me more meds to induce labor, she asked if I could try some positions to help speed up the process, and I fully trusted her.
Jackie and my spouse helped put me into some positions to help speed up the process, and my water fully broke immediately after. She knew that more meds to induce me would be extremely painful & I was already in so much pain- so she tried something no other nurse had ever tried. Usually, the doctors just give more induction meds to help momma get the baby out- which is NOT a bad thing. The nurses and doctors really don't like to see the mother in pain & if the baby is doing great, they will give more induction medication.
Jackie even held me up during epidural time because my husband almost threw up and my body was shaking so bad from the contractions. The epidural man was amazing- probably Jackie's favorite part because my pain level was 10000 & she felt so bad.
My baby was delivered right before it was time for Jackie to leave & we decided to name him Jaxon after her due to the amazing experience she gave us. So, thank you, Jackie O.- I'll forever be grateful for such an amazing birthing experience.
