Look at your estimate very carefully, our move was a nightmare!! I was promised two trucks. One truck and one mini truck was sent. We had to pay for them to return for TWO items- they missed the mark by TWO items- on them not on me and they blamed the customer- gave us little option but to leave our items behind or pay to go back. They had us trapped with no willingness to take responsibility. Then damaged three very important items. We asked simply for the low cost payout we were entitled per the insurance with the movers that was about $250 of the $5k worth of the items and they GHOSTED us not willing to return calls or the e-mails sent. I would not trust this company to do the right thing if things go wrong. So hope things do not go wrong for you if you use them. We were billed 1K more than the highest part of the estimate and our items were damaged with no support. BEWARE! And YES, Fairfax Transfer we were customers- do not pull- "we do not have record of your move" I have pictures of your trucks!

Fairfax Moving & Storage was recommended by a friend who is very demanding. I figured if she was happy, I'd surely be happy. And I was! From start to finish, every detail of our move from a large home to an apartment, including a drop off of some furniture and exercise equipment to our son's home, was flawless. After paying almost $900, I had to edit my review because since moving into my new home I was missing a few important household items (left at my previous apt pictured) most notably kitchen utensils, cutting mats, measuring cups, and baking tray(s). In addition, they only put together my bed (which is broken) and bar cart and left the tvs on the floor despite them being mounted previously.

On Tuesday, September 20, 2022, I hired Fairfax Transfer and Storage to move my things that were in CubeSmart (10x20x8 self storage unit on the 2nd floor) to a residential home outside of Reston, Virginia in Great Falls.

The team of (4) young men, led by Juan arrived early, were professional, respectful of my things while moving quickly and communicated often, even though not everyone spoke English.

Nothing was damaged or broken that I can see and they took away ALL of the empty boxes and mess from the driveway. They even rearranged a few things that I thought I wanted in one place …and then changed my mind once I saw it there.

Thank you for making this physically exhausting transition a little more enjoyable! Thank you for you strength in carrying things and furniture assembly that I don’t know how to do too! You are the best!

We booked Fairfax Transfer to pack and move our family. On the first day, Juan and his team (William, Walter, Melvin, and Fernando) did a great job packing. They were respectful, professional, and super efficient. On the second day, Juan, William, Walter, and Fernando came back with David and Dawson for the move. They were a fantastic group. They handled all of our furniture and items with care and attention. They also took steps to protect our new house (eg covering the floors, wrapping corners, etc.).
