I am extremely dissatisfied with the service provided by this DHL location. My experience has caused significant inconvenience not only for myself but also for my customer. I was waiting on imported brake parts from Italy that were scheduled to arrive by the end of the day. The vehicle was disassembled and ready for the repair, only for me to check the tracking at 5:45 PM and see that the package was marked as “undeliverable” without any actual delivery attempt being made.

To make matters worse, I received no update that evening despite calling immediately. The following morning, I had to call again, only to be told that I could either wait until 5:30 PM for another attempt or drive 45 minutes to Norfolk to pick up the package myself.

I understand that mistakes happen, but blatantly lying about attempting delivery is unacceptable. This isn’t a trivial item—these are critical brake parts necessary to complete a repair, and the delay has wasted my time and affected my customer. As a business owner, my time is extremely valuable, and this level of mismanagement is beyond frustrating.

10/10 for horrible management and lack of accountability. DHL, do better.

Was supposed to receive a package on Jan. 7th and stayed home from work that day because it said “signature required”. Got an email in the afternoon saying it was delayed and that my delivery was “on hold”. Six days later I got a text in the morning saying it would be delivered sometime between 11AM and 1PM, never heard anything then got a message around 5PM saying it would arrive soon. I stayed home waiting all day till after 9PM then woke up to an email saying they attempted delivery at 11:41PM. I have a doorbell camera I know they never attempted delivery. I’m doing the locker option for redelivery but have to wait an additional 2 days for it to be available in a service center not in my city. DHL’s delivery updates are unreliable and inaccurate. Really disappointed in how much of my time has been wasted and I still don’t have my package. Will avoid using DHL for future deliveries whenever possible.

This is by far the WORST third party delivery service. Do yourself a favor and if you notice your package is being delivered through them, CANCEL YOUR ORDER. Every representative I encountered was absolutely unhelpful. My package was $500 and they deemed it lost. They said that they have no problem opening up the packages once a package is not able to be delivered. Same issue they said that they delivered it when they did not. Horrible service these people sit around all day doing nothing.

I had a package that was attempted to be delievered yesterday to the wrong address. The homeowners refused the package, however it says it was delivered and signed for by me, but I do not even live at this house. I am trying to call and see if i can pick the package up but the 1800 number seems to only be automated. It isn’t any help at all.

Rang my door bell and knocked and the left before I could even get to the door. Not even 30 seconds…..It said it would be delivered today but my tracker said it was in Richmond still which is 3 hours away. I’ve seen Amazon drivers take more time and they have way more places to be.

Update: Highly recommend if you can to have it just dropped off at a package center and to pick it up that way. Called to make sure I wouldn’t need anything extra and they are so kind and much easier to work with. And I don’t have to worry my package won’t be delivered….again…

Don't use DHL for international shipping they are the worst. I have my packages sitting overseas for over a month and customs won't clear it. Instead of assistance me, they tried to destroyed my shipment and bribe my receivers $500 (vnd 11,000,000). I had provided all required documents as requested and none of their customers services has no knowledge how to deal with overseas custom leaving my shipment stranded.

So, I was waiting for my package today until 7:30pm because they said it will be delivered TODAY! But upon checking it around 7:30pm it says “there was a delivery attempt” but nobody even knocked on my door or even rang my doorbell, and I also checked my ring video nobody was even in my front door until 8pm in the evening! How come it says there was an attempt?! Can you please explain!! When I called the customer service 2x they said it was on a different address, Like what? Did the delivery guy checked the address vs the house he is going to?! Like, for real? This is very frustrating!!!

DHL said it tried to deliver on two occasions. We were at home all day for the first delivery as no time was specified and were home before, during and after the time specified and though they said no one was home they never knocked or rang the doorbell on either occasion. I decided in lieu of another missed delivery that I would pick up the package. I commented about the delivery issues and discovered the delivery person is not an employee of DHL. The people in the office were very friendly and polite but delivery is an issue as this is the second time I have had them claim we were not in when we were.
