So glad we took the 8 mile detour off of I-65S to give DeepWoods a try. The building and interior are quite unassuming, so we drove right by and had to turn around. But boy, are we glad we did!! The staff behind the counter were super friendly and made us feel welcome, and the food was as great as the service! The menu changes some day-to-day, but my husband and I were there on Monday and enjoyed fried chicken with field peas, fabulous corn casserole, and yams, and baked porkchop with gravy, turnips, field peas, and apple cobbler. Everything was hot and delicious and we left there feeling "fat and happy". We'll definitely stop in again next time we're passing by.

We had a wonderful late lunch at DeepWoods and look forward to going back soon. The food and the service could not have been better ~ everything we had was hot and delicious. The building is a little unassuming, so we drove right past it and had to turn around, but we were definitely glad we did. For wonderful meat and three-type cooking, Deep Woods by Mary Bell hits the spot!!

Have never had a bad meal from these wonderful ladies. Was recommended from someone I served with in the military im just gonna tell the truth I have been treated like family since the day I walked in. Delicious food and great service. Would say the same thing if I had just walked in. Thank you ladies and I hope you continue to be blessed.

Can't travel through the south and not stop for southern cooking. Friendly ladies behind the counter. Reasonably priced. Peach cobbler fresh from the oven, baked and fried chicken, lots of good sides to choose from. And even easy parking for our RV by pulling off the road in front of the building next door. Loved it. Thank you.

We followed the reviews to this little gem tucked in the middle of nowhere (but only 10 minutes from the highway.) AMAZING. ? ? ?
I ordered the fried pork chop with rutabaga, corn casserole and dirty rice and followed up with a piece of red velvet cake.

Absolutely delicious! Perfect good, family atmosphere and wonderful owners. We live several hours away, but we'll definitely be back!

I'm so glad we found this place. The good is delicious! It's the way used to be (the way food should be!) Real ingredients, family recipes, authentic flavors and great variety. The best meal of our entire vacation! Can't wait to come back!
