My husband and I came to order the roast beef dinner which we love and it is no longer on the menu. We both ordered chicken and dumplings and two vegetables. Our chicken and dumplings were served in a bowl with the vegetables served in the bowl with the chicken and dumplings! Who wants soggy fried okra and green beans swimming in the chicken and dumplings? We were told we would have had to request to have them served separately! If we had known it would be served this way we definitely would have. Also, the serving size of the vegetables was much smaller than what we would normally have gotten. My second vegetable was pinto beans so it was not dumped in my chicken and dumplings but the serving was a lot of juice and few beans. The chicken and dumplings were good but can not understand why any restaurant would serve them this way? How it was served and serving size is shown in the photos.

Took my oldest daughter out for dinner. Food was hot and delicious, service was fantastic. Our waiter Chris was on top of drink refills and ensuring we had a great experience. Definitely a great experience!

Cracker Barrel never fails to please and this was no exception! Our meals were amazing and the sweet tea was spot on! Can't wait to go back! And our server was exceptional! From Virginia originally and brought her service with her. The thing I love, no matter which cracker Barrel you go to? It's all uniform, all delicious and always good service. Oh yea, the wife likes the shopping also! Well done CB!

Food and service was great. The most amazing thing happened, another patron who ask the waitress not to say anything but someone who wanted to remain anonymous paid our bill. She promised to thank them for the two of us after we left. Thank you for the blessing, Anonymous you made our day! We plan to pay it forward as well.

Usually this establishment is very right on with everything but last night was a different story.
I was not so busy, but there were quite a bit of people. Regarding the two tables next to us, each group was there before us. Our food did take a while to come out but those two table was not served yet. One group did receive their food shortly after we did. (Actually we were boxing up our to go boxes.) But the Family who was seated just before we were, still had not received their food. They were filling them up with biscuits and drinks. I did express to them how sad that was that they were still sitting there with no food for so long. I do believe that the manager compensated them with something but still that is not what they came there for, they came there to have prompt service. Also the waitress that we had talked entirely too much and gave us entirely too much information about her life. What she should have been doing was checking in the kitchen to see if her tables food was ready. This is the only Cracker Barrel that is close to us so please can you do better.
Also please have someone attend to your bathroom,It was awful.

The waitress was very nice. The food was good. We bought items from the store and they forgot to put some of it in the bag and we didn't notice till we got home. 2 hours away. Won't be going back to this location.

Service is usually pretty good. I'm giving this a three for two reasons, 1) When the food was arriving, the server mishandled the serving tray and dropped a bowl of their Buffalo mac and cheese on the table making it go everywhere including on my family and I, not the greatest start to lunch I would say. 2) Wait time is the big killer here. It takes while for food to be delivered. Once you get your food, it is quite nice and with great taste minus needing more salt here and there but overall good. The portion size is moderate enough to fill you up depending on your appetite.

My husband and I recently moved to Calera, and so this has become our home Cracker Barrel since we love it so much. The last two visits, we got the same server (thankfully) Morgan. The first time she handled us as a 9 person party while managing 3 other tables and she’s very attentive and sweet. Our last visit the other night she remembered our drinks from last time and even the food we ordered. She was very kindly mannered, and I look forward to her being our server again. Thanks Morgan
